Players that are exasperating to watch - plenty of talent, but something's not quite right

Keegan Bradley - bags of energy and focus but cannot putt. Hits lots of irons inside 10 feet to raise hopes, but misses nearly all of them. Gives the ball the evil eye on the greens then doesn't even stand over it properly. Someone needs to convince him to change his putting style. Going to the short putter now might be a help

Nick Watney - Not right in the head imo - not that he's ill, although he plays like he's got some hyperactive thing going on and lacks concentration - just that his mind doesn't seem suited to golf any more. Lacks patience and is terribly inconsitent

Jason Dufner - a journeyman player who went through a short golden patch and has reverted to being journeyman again. I backed him earlier in the season and it was depressing just watching him slumping around with his bottom lip sticking out - it was a downer I'd never experienced watching golf before

Never again

Agree with Dufner. Purple patch coincided with him getting married, which, if you look at his wife, and look at him, you can see why he was on cloud nine. That transferred to his golf game for a bit. Will pop up on a leaderboard again someday as a 500-1 shot.

Didn't mean to be unkind stunning, more a back handed compliment. Wife is a stunner. Stand by he view on his golf though, I reckon he was a flash in the pan and the rest of his golf career will be like it was pre the 2011 PGA. Can't see him winning, especially this year.

Dufner was 4th at the US Open. He has had a frustrating but not a disastrous year.

Its hard to win, Westwood, Donald, MciLroy, Watney, Bradley, Bubba, Simpson, BVP,Stricker, Kaymer, Furyk, Fowler, Z Johnson all still waiting their first win of the year past the half way point.

Funnily enough I was just thinking about this earlier this week. Harrington and Oosthuizen will be in the last chance saloon for me next week. Harrington is so frustrating for me, I never seem to call him right. I backed him to win the B and H in 2000 when he was DQ'd 5 clear. I have been on the wrong side of him ever since.

Mighty that was off the back of one freakish round, was never in it until the end then throws in a triple as soon as he was in it. He has built a reputation of a 9 month run, with the previous 10 or so years being forgotten. I think it's more likely the real Dufner was the one of that 10 year period, as opposed to the Dufner of those 9 months. We will see in due course I suppose.

I don't really think he counts as a top player, but the way people shovel money on him on here when he ever gets anywhere near contention is obscene for how little the guy has actually achieved in his shortish golf career.

I would much rather be a LAYER than a PLAYER.

Must say i have never ever collected a single bean from a Tiger Woods punt, the only time i went heavy on him was at Immelmans Masters.....that was painful....Immelman just didn't let him close enough.

Mind you, i dont think i've ever collected from Ronnie O'Sullivan either, 2 greats in their respective sports and ive never got them right...Shocked

A decent couple of weeks for him. Think those previous ten years will be well a truly forgotten now.
