Play 7's with a guy who said in February, just got a job caddying for a guy coming over from the states gto try his luck on the Challenge Tour. Turns out it was Brooks Koepka and needless to say he's not been seen back at the football since!!!

lol

Great stuff from Brooks. The fella's in, with a bit of style.
By:
Some of the guys he's been paired with have said he's easily the best player by a mile they've seen. Be interesting to see how he gets on when he's on the main tour. Did he qualify for the Open today?
By:
Qualified in first position.

Nick Dougherty assuming his natural position in last place again I see.
By:
Did Jimmy Bullard beat him

By:
At least Dougherty completed 36 holes. 29 players did not complete!

In these kind of events amateur and pro - 36 holes in one day there are always withdrawals after 18. Isnt a bad thing as it speeds up play in the afternoon.
By:
Not necessarily, when withdrawals turn 2 balls into 3 balls.
By:
still speeds up the play, couple of weeks ago played an event 60 man field cat 1. Morning all 3 balls 4.40. Dozen or so withdrawals later an the afternoon was 4 hours.
By:
Call me old school, but I do not approve of these lunchtime "bad back" cry off's, especially in amateur events. Back to Sunningdale, they played in 2s today where withdrawals would result in afternoon 3s unless the R&A had a multitude of marker's on stand by.

Look at this once more. The fella has played every type of course this year at first sight. He has won 3 before the end of June (remember the CT doesnt start till well after the Euro season). He has come off the pace with massive last rounds, has made weekend moves without quite getting there. He wins a tough event in Scotland coming from off the pace on Sunday and then wins the 36-hole event on Monday.
Stunning stuff |

By:
Managed to get £8 matched on the fella @ 1000
By:
£10 laid @ 500. Will go back in if the price gets bigger.
By:
good work maggot !
By:
He was toiling to get there too must have done it on not a lot of kip
By:
I have now laid him @ 280, and 270, so at this stage he is the wrong colour. A little bit overdone me finks.
By:
very overdone!
the highlights of the Hydro were on last night, he missed a lot of fairways but some of his saves from the thick stuff were great. Wouldnt have thought this will be his year at all but at 1000 its a bit of fun |
By:
What the feks going on here ???
Just laid him @ 150... Jeez. |

Brooks started the year ranked 436, now into 122. His last 7 starts have been 1, 24, 6, 1, 7, 10, 1.
His 3 wins this year were in May and June. He won by 7, 10 and 3 strokes. His last win at end of June was in the Scottish Hydro Challenge. He's a big boy, 6 foot and 13 stone. I'll be having something on him for sure, and will follow his career with interest over the next 12 months. I've got another player worth looking at too. HIDEKI MATSUYAMA 200/1. 21 year old. In 2010 at the age of 18 he won the Asian Amateur Championship. He was also the leading Amateur at the 2012 Masters. A week after the Masters he finished 3rd in the Japan Open Golf Championship. He turned pro in April this year.He started the year ranked 80th in the World and he is now ranked 46th. His form for this year from oldest to newest tournament is- MC, 10, 1, 2, 2, 1, 10, 7, MC, 4. A few stand outs have been 1st Tsuruya Open (Japan Tour),1st Diamond Cup Golf (Japan Tour), and 10th US Open. This kid can play! Japan Tour Stats- 1st in scoring average, 11th in putting average, 4th in greens in regulation, 4th in birdie average, 6th in sand saves, 1st in Par 4 performance. |

Keep em peeled, all the young Americans are coming here now...get on at 400-1 while you can!
By:
A slightly more sensible price, now.

played well last week, he is very very good, and as I said, played rediculously well in very tough conditions at the HYdro.
