I understand your sentiment - but wearing my "traders" hat - it's a pain.
(Have other issues with it - but not on topic - I will concede back 9 on Sunday is generally great viewing)

A dullard for viewers 5 minutes of play followed by soft music with scenes of Hogan's bridge and Azalea's. Followed by various Golf discount ads; Minimum 10 ads Back to the golf a little mini 6 player scoreboard bottom of screen followed by more soft music followed by 2 shots from someone. followed by another 11 Ads from various golf companies and that's only Saturday.
Sunday back 9 takes 2 hours 15 minutes to play but the telecast somehow stretches to 4 hours ???

I wonder who is responsible for poor coverage......TV companies or the Masters' committee?
If it's the committee then golfing bodies should tell them to move in with the times or scrap The Masters of the Major List and make it a regular PGA tour event.

Deary me.
It is what it is. I tend to agree with wallflower from a betting point of view. The coverage is far better than it once was.

I am in two minds about the coverage. For selfish reasons I would like to be able to see every shot of whoever I want, a nice red button to follow whichever group you wanted would be great.
But as a invitation only competition, why should the members have to bow to everything broadcasters want? It spells the end of doing things in a civilized way. If they followed footballs example, they would change the timetable to suit Asia and change the competition dates so it matched with whatever the Qatari's wanted. And we would have a Monday night play-off under floodlights.
I think that keeping coverage restricted adds to the exclusivity of the event and makes attendance there even more special for spectators.

Personally I feel until you get rid of the redneck old boys club with their deep south attitudes then you won't see any real impact in coverage what I actually object to is "paying" for hand me down coverage of golf via sky sports they gave us all the hype as to they would give us brilliant coverage of this that and tother when in fact we get partial coverage of most of the pga events dependent on when US channels are on air OFcom should insist that if they are providing a subscription coverage that they actually get cameras out their to cover it my thoughts on the matter

- something has to be done about golf coverage in general - its 2013, and it is generally completely f*ckin' unwatchable from a betting perspective - needs a revolution of sorts.
I stopped watching golf until back nine of Sunday and only then if there is no Tennis, Cricket or NFL on at the same time.
