ski i understand what you are saying. i have bets that i mention pre off and some pre rounds for friendly bragging rightsLaugh. lets be honest its only for bragging rights because quite seriously who has to post anything?

but i also have bets that i make during play that i sometimes cant be fecked posting because they are too numerous. and some for fear of being called an aftertimer as i didnt jump straight onto the forums after i made the bet/trade and it turned out to be good. seems that fear is not so irrational.

watching the coverage i would have also laid rose and kept kaymer. but i may not have come straight onto the forums to mention that for whatever reason. if i wasnt watching perhaps a diff story. thus i also understand the kaymer in play thing. he is a wild thing.

maggot, i also do not like blatant aftertiming, but i also know that the process of judging someone as having done so is not good for the soul either.

peace y'all Cool

Report bristoldoug January 25, 2013 1:28 PM GMT
Agree with you Par - awful finish for Sergio after a really good start. Mind you Santos has had a nightmare so it probably did not help playing alongside him. That said how many times does Sergio do this !

He will play with Grace tomorrow - hope it spurs Branden on. Im hoping for a Grace victory - although Campbell or Olesen would not be bad results either. Lots of players within 5 shots of the lead - and someone is sure to go low tomorrow. Wood is a fellow Bristolian so it would be good to see him win - but I well remember him having a lead a few years ago - was it Malta or Majorca - and Darren Clarke shot him down in the last round. Improved player since, but his win at the end of last year was not a competative field like he will see tomorrow.
Report Ski-Wiz January 25, 2013 1:33 PM GMT
Khan's odds over 20......two times higher than Campbell who hasn't won in 10 years.......what an insultAngry
Report DONEMYLOT January 25, 2013 1:41 PM GMT
Maybe poor for Sergio but at least he makes a run for the event he is playing in, eh Rickie?

With Chris Wood a reknown dodgepot, anyone down to -9 can win it. as long as its one of my two
Report bristoldoug January 25, 2013 2:00 PM GMT
Chris Wood's odds look quite tempting - but not temping enough lol. As for Khan's odds being twice that of Campbell - well you have to say Campbell has been one of the most consistant players in recent events. I think his price is a fair one and he will probably challenge the lead tomorrow. Not saying he will win but is probably a Back to Lay job.

Come on Branden !!
Report DONEMYLOT January 25, 2013 2:01 PM GMT
I thought Grace failed to kick on coming home but it ended not too bad. Do like him a lot, must have a cracking chance given he has finished his last two events very well indeed.
Report bristoldoug January 25, 2013 2:28 PM GMT
I hope so - without doubt a top notch golfer regardless of his fate tomorrow. Good thing about him is that he is not afraid to win - that playoff win against Els and Goosen was witness to that, other 'rookies' would have wilted under the pressure of tying to beat two true greats of the game, but not Grace. I think playing alongside Sergio will keep him focussed tomorrow.
Report DONEMYLOT January 25, 2013 2:32 PM GMT

Sh*t or Bust for me.I like Wood, but on a course that low scores happen on I'm hoping somebody(anybody) leap frogs him.
Very hard to put 2 low rounds back to back(unless I've layed them)
Report bristoldoug January 26, 2013 8:27 AM GMT
If I did'nt have a financial interest in this I would be cheering on Chris Wood for sure. He has certainly under achieved in his professional career so far, albeit shown flashes of brilliance.

As a punter in this though im hoping he tightens up and lets someone catch and pass him. Im green on pretty much everyone apart from Wood, Sergio, Noren and Khan. Grace, Campbell or Olesen would be big profits for me - and I have just topped up on Georgie Porgie. I have thought for a while that if he is to win a tournament it will be in one that he comes from 5 or 6 of the pace in the last round, and I have a feeling that today might finally be his day. So Grace or Coetzee as likely winners for me
Report stewardsenquirey January 26, 2013 9:11 AM GMT
Campbell looks like a winner waiting to happen( pity he's not priced up for his past few seasons)
Afraid I can't be having George(cost me a few quid in final rounds) only way I think he wins if he posts a score.Don't fancy Garcia to win either(beginning to run out of runners having layed Wood the more I think about it Cry)
Not given up hope of the German shooting a low one.
-7 posted today so far.So it does seem a score can be had.
Report bristoldoug January 26, 2013 9:36 AM GMT
Topsey turvey day in prospect I think. Great bogey save by Campbell on the first, adrenalin rush for Grace as well - obviously thinks he can win and is going for it. Great start for Noren and Sergio drains a long putt on the 2nd, and a nasty one on the 3rd after a poor tee shot -he has been good from 20ft or so all week, just a shame about anything under 10ft.

i just think of all the bad things i would have done and makes me want to step back and walk away from the laptop.

Well done poke. Puggy. You might be correct about Sergio at Augusta. Especially if Rory does not sort out whatever was wrong last week. Not certain it was the clubs.
Report bristoldoug January 27, 2013 10:28 AM GMT
Regardless of defeat Sergio played some awesome golf today - never been a fan of his from a betting perspective as he is always shorter than he should be considering his win to run return of recent years. He has however shown better form in the last 18 months but I would not be in a hurry to back him to win a major.

Coetzee must be gutted to post a score, think he has won, then think he is in a playoff and then have a victory taken off him by a stunning Eagle on the last by Wood. Wish he would lose a few lbs, im sure it would make him a better golfer. I traded my profit as soon as I saw Sergio hit his approach on the last.

Took a small loss on the tournament but could have been worse. Farmers is another story though lol - Woods looks in sublime form. My 2 picks within 5 strokes Haas and CH3 will have to hope Tiger breaks a leg again lol. Have backed them and Charlie Wi in the without woods market for a bit of interest and in the hope that one of them recovers my losses on the win market.

Report maggot January 27, 2013 3:44 PM GMT
????

I think that 50 is a great price for Sergio. I have taken some of it. You won't get 200, so that comment is meaningless.

His record at Augusta is OK. He is playing better now than he has done for a year or two.

To just come out with a sweeping statement that he won't win a major, fact, is a ridiculous thing to say. of course, it's not likely that he will, but you can say that about just about every golfer that to date, hasn't won a major.

One thing I do know, is that Garcia has a much better chance than most, because he is a much better golfer than most.
Report Puggy4 January 27, 2013 6:47 PM GMT
have to agree with all that maggot , allied to the fact his putting is so much better these days.
