Still to start , ground waterlogged apparently . Would that not be unusual for Durban ? -- although it fits in with the rubbish weather worldwide this year .
By:
how likely would it be for them to get 72 holes in? any guesses?
By:
They are still hoping im guessing a smaller cut and 36 on sunday whether permitting

Reading players and caddies on Twitter - one mother of a storm over Durban tonight - apparently they will be surprised to see any play tomorrow either
By:
thanks looks like 54 holes then
By:
Huge storm overnight and 30mm of rain has forced a further postponement of the first round of the #NelsonMandelaChamp until Saturday morning
By:
Seems as if they are playing this now as a par 65 with 8 par 3,s,never seen that before.
By:
just to echo donny's thoughts, cheers TMM for your insightful contribution this year,oh and i've had afew quid on Shaun Norris.
Good Luck All. |

now a 36 holes tournament
By:
Following the disruption on Thursday and Friday, it was announced that the objective of the tournament was to achieve 36 holes by Sunday evening or Monday. If 36 holes were to be achieved come Sunday evening a result would then be declared.

which makes the price for Tim Clark big on here
By:
Thanks Megdog,if thats the case it seems as if it will be a result on here but not on the daq.
By:
some very good in-form players from the CT here. Expect them to be right there on the main tour come 2014. Kofsted interesting as Chubby has him and that will free his mind into just playing golf.

By:
Can't find a price for a 59.
By:
lol
By:
would a 59 count for those bets for a 59 on the tour at some point of the season, what with tees altered and lift and place.
By:
Will be a shoot out tomorrow just the 68 within 5 shots, 93 within 6!

What an absolute farce of a tournament this has turned out to be.If they wanted to start the tournament, why not make it 54 holes?Next weeks event is in South Africa also,so it's not like the players have a mass of travelling ahead.Surely they could have played another 18 holes on Monday morning to make it a three round event and the players could travel upto Leopard Creek for the Dunhill on Monday evening?54 holes at least feels something akin to a tournament. The European Tour don't seem keen on Monday finishes for some reason.
By:
so the final insult, waiting all morning and can't even see live coverage even though the bloody programme has started
By:
yup, will be interesting to see if clarke can put up a solid round to take it down tho (when it goes live).
By:
hes very short given the scores on eurotour website
but good luck to anyone using that to have a bet ![]() |
By:
What a joke this has turned out - it looks a game of pitch and putt on the muddy lawn of some council estate
I suppose high street bookies won't void it like they should do - claiming a 'result' would have been reached |
By:
And The European Tour wonders why it can't attract sponsors...Maybe they could go for a northern hemisphere version of this and have a 36 hole shootout annually on a muddy golf course on the infield of a UK racetrack?Southwell could prove a fitting venue
