NO Double available on Top US&Euro scorers?? WTF??

I've put mine on with 365, no problems

Tried Bwin, Coral, 188Bet, WHill, Bet Victor and now BF. Not one of these bookmakers will take a double with these two markets combined.'This combination of Bet Selections is not permitted by Bet Restrictions.'

Tried Bet365, they will take it but the maximum they will allow me is 13p! So I didn't bother. Now I've given up. I find it quite pathetic to be honest!

It is a similar scenario if you are looking to get an ante-post match bet, or Group betting multiple on the Football. A few years ago these were extremely popular bets, I used to do them every year, gave me a nice interest for the season. This season I couldn't find a single bookmaker which would take my bet. They are happy to take singles though, even quoting ridiculous matches like Arsenal to finish above the likes of Fulham @ 1/6. Who is betting that!?! Your average punter is hardly interested in having his 10 or 20 quid tied up for 9 months for a possible 2 or 3 quid profit.

Personally I feel most of the British bookmakers are taking the piss now. They've no desire to give the punter what he wants, and don't even hide the fact! Casinos, poker and Virtual games, that is what they want us to waste our cash on. Massive mark ups, for minimal effort! They couldn't give a toss about sports punters!

BF unfortunately seem to be heading along the same lines.

bet365 might take your bet if you ring them, there'll be a freephone number somewhere, so if they say no, at least its cost them for your call

You can do the double at Ladcrooks on line ok

Suppose as no one knows the teams as yet maybe the bet should be allowed.If your selections ended up playing each other(while they might not) think it would be hard to get the bet up as the loss of a point out of a max five(4 in a lot of cases) would make it unlikely though not impossible. Might actually be a good thing.

All fair points, but I agree with nickT as to the overall swing from what used to be possible and that which has now been altered to suit the pockets of the Bookies. It's almost as if they want to either invoke the 'related' angle (which just means you might have a decent chance of a value bet, so lets knock that on the head), or make random limits on your stake - 13p??? Who is going to have a 13p double when they've asked for £10 or £20? How embarrassed would you be to say that to a punter face to face? They love the anonimity of online.

Hoping that one day someone with balls will enter the market and encourage us all to get back to PUNTING. Risk averse bookies...jeezus. Surely Asia has the clout to set up competition to BF and the likes?

Everyone just stop punting for a week or so. The message would get across.

cannot get on any bet with 'Ladcrooks' they barred me completely for LOSING £1100 in 3 months!

How would their shareholders react if they knew the traders were knocking back clients with losing accounts? And believe me, I am not a long term winner. I had actually been an account holder with the aforementioned company long before they had an on-line presence, therefore more than 20 years a customer! I began a new strategy of only betting value and taking advantage of best prices, and within 3 months I was barred! 20 years of betting and then cut off by some faceless trader who thinks he has spotted a possible profitable(!?) pattern in my betting. What a joke!

Rant over!................ unless somebody mentions Stan James, Skybet, ****, Betfred, Sportingbet.....

The quality of the 'traders' and beancounters is just sooooo low now. They havent got a clue how to manage their books. Unfortunately this means they are over defensive, but there are still opportunities to take them down if you can find them.

To not allow pts scorers doubles is pathetic. They should be all over them. Where is the related contingency before the first matches are announced?!!

It seems quite hit and miss to me as to which bookies will lay or refuse your bets.Now i'm by no means a great punter but i had a couple of very decent wins with Ladcrooks last year on golf within a few weeks of each other yet i've never had a problem then or since getting a bet placed with them.With Slybet and NotsoSportingBet it was a different matter.Was marginally up with NotsoSportingbet and was getting my bets restricted to stupidly silly amounts so i just closed the account.With Slybet i reckon i was down over the course of the account but after one reasonable spell last year they also started restricting me to tiny amounts.When i queried this i was told by them it was because i was only betting with them when they were best priced about something and it was giving me potential arbing opportunities.What,did they expect me to bet with them when they weren't best priced?I just shut that account as well.Some of those so called bookies should just chuck it and move into insurance

Had the same with PP. Keen not to be restricted on any of my other accounts but suspect that the only way to do this is:
- not to win big
- not to bet regularly with bookie when they are bet priced
....

Any chance of getting a list of things that have got people's accounts restricted so i can see if there is anyway to win or whether resistance is futile.

try to get more on said arbs by putting them in a double with a long odds on shot
back bad each way selections
follow well known tippers (pricewise, rix, hugh taylor etc)
back palps
use a bot
back 'dodgy' matches/horses

and many more offshoots from all these issues can bring it under scrutiny! not easy this game, treasure your accounts as it's so easy to lose them

way to get your account restricted:
back blatant arbs
try to get more on said arbs by putting them in a double with a long odds on shot
back bad each way selections
follow well known tippers (pricewise, rix, hugh taylor etc)
back palps
use a bot
back 'dodgy' matches/horses
