So a mate of mine has double booked himself on the biggest golf day of the year (excluding Masters Sunday of course) - Mcintyre with the mrs.

What should he do?

a) be brutally honest, tell his Mrs he made a **** up, and sell the tickets on e-bay (potential dog house situation)
b) turn his back on golf and watch the posh sod live, while religiously monitoring twitter.
c) Other

Would appreciate your thoughts, and potential "other" ideas for him...

Couldn't disagree with you more, sandsave.

For me, the Ryder Cup, is arguably the most exhilarating three days in the world of sport.

Can't quite see why you consider it " A load of nonsense ".

Needs to be watched from an armchair. Been to a few, and you can't see b ugger all, so better off at home, or even better, in the boozer.

Bring it on. Can't wait.
