i just wondr if westwood may benefit in the pga by having a little less pressure on him. hes been on all the pundits lists/ tips for almost every main event for 2 or 3 years, to be fair hes not playing as well as he has been before but@28/1 i may just join in.in almostevery major in recent yearsa small in running profit could be made from lee with him starting at nearer to half his current price.

He can still run away with lower grade events like he did in Sweden but he just does not have the short game to win a major.
If he misses say 8 fairways in a major you can guarantee that bogey or worse will follow.
He cannot win at major level the way he chips an putts.
Cannot see him contending this week.In fact i think he is in decline. He can still run away with lower grade events like he did in Sweden but he just does not have the short gameto win a major. If he misses say 8 fairways in a major you can guarantee t
After last week's shocking effort, I just can't see him anywhere near it at Kiawah.
Ok, you can back him @ 29s on here, and if he gets off to a good start, then you may be able to get your stake back, but no way does his price represent any sort of value to me.
Plenty of others a far better punt this week.
Cue Lee John to go and win the thing.

to say hes in decline is pure guesswork, hes been the best ball striker around for many seasons , i find it impossible to believe hes lost that ability just cos he had a bad week last week!!!i agree his short game isnt as good as other at the top of the game but the truth is far worse players than westwood can win majors and they probably putt/ chip better than he does when he finishes 6 or 8 shots in front of them week after week.hes now trading at 36-- 38 i cannot let him run free at those prices.one things for sure if he does happen to win there will be the biggest list of forumites saying"how the hell was he that price" iwas consideing backing rose but cannot bring myself to take shorter odds about him the westwood.

to be honest ill be having only a small bet just think hes as much overpriced in this as he was underpriced at 12s for the open. i actually have far fewer issues with his putting than with his chipping .you cannot win as many ourneys as this guy has over a long period and not be able to putt.i think the chipping is is more problematic with the thick rough around the edge of the greens in the states.as in most tourneys you could have 6 or 8 picks and not get one in the frame.

Pretty dramatic decline in form these last few months , hard to believe for someone who strikes the ball so well and straight off the tee . Guess he might just not be turned on by majors , the record suggests that .
