The big guns fired on Day 1 (aside from the English ones of course), more of the same today? Many seem to think the late starters will have the weather advantage but hard to say, lots of overnight rain so the early starters will have super soft greens and go flag hunting. Wind got up a bit in the afternoon Day 1 which you would think would happen again.
Added Peter Hanson at 60s and Jamie Donaldson at 170s to my team which after a great start early stagnated. Have a decent bunch at -1, Even and +1. Hanson been getting closer to winning a big tournament with numerous top 10s in majors and WGCs over the last 2 years, 60s is value after the start.

do you need a player at +2 to go to +3 for watson to make cut
How many times have they shown Dufner....oh of course, he's not in Paul Lawrie's group
Duffner is tied 4th and in 2 days I've seen 1 drive and 3 putts

If dufner birdies 18 then hes in the penultimate group with Woods. I suggest a par is probably better for him

I have nothing against the guy. He is obviously a legend and is still a fine player. There is just usually too much coverage of him when he is way out of contention. The commentators droning on about Old Tom teaching the youngsters a thing or 2 is also very irritating.

must be some kind of miserable fecker to deny tom watson adulation he totally deserves for being a golf legend. he hasnt had over coverage, jusy about the amount he should have.
Maybe I am miserable lol. I just have no interest in how Watson is doing unless he is near the top of the leaderboard. I haven't seen a lot of the Open so far this year, I made that comment based on the coverage in previous years.
