I think we still have the wooden shafted 7 iron that my grandad made for Danny if you wanna borrow that LUFC. That was his starter for 10.

Seriously, Get the boy some lessons once he can hit it solidly. Expensive but well worth it. He must have a good grip. Im sure Danny would give your lad some good free tips if you can get him to Howley Hall GC or Oulton Hall driving range. In fact I know he would.
