Early bets for this week.
£50 win Snedeker @ 50s - Been a little disappointing in recent weeks but showed flashes of decent form last week and played well here last year. £50 win Laird @ 50s - Bit similar to Snedeker really and looks as if he maybe coming to hand a little. May go back in on Hanson again as love him as a player and find it hard not to back him most weeks. |

Going with the hot hands tmm? Huh and English have been on fire so far this season.
|
|
By:
Huh does look good for this, I'm not sure if his stats are flattered by his good form though.
|
|
By:
looking forward to watching for the form of any potential masters bets, will be watching Immelman, Ohair and Moore closely.
A few small bets; Snedeker, Zack, Dufner, Harrigton, Maggert, Stallings, Huh and Immelman |

Hoping to kick start my season this week!
Can't help but back Senden and BVP this week on both for top 6 at 40s. Also taken English and my final man is a speculative dabble on Boooo. He showed signs of finally remembering how to putt last week and although he doesn't have a great record in this event the course should suit his undoubted ball striking skills. Stan James' carrot of 150s was too big to resist. Good luck all! |

Very quiet this week......is everyone busy with Cheltenham ?
Charl Schwartzel Webb Simpson Matt Kuchar Nick Watney Jason Day K.J. Choi Jim Furyk Mark Wilson All traded....many orders waiting to be matched |
|
By:
Jase the Ace Day @ 44 , yes please.
Mark Wilson @ 80 , ah sure go on. |
|
By:
A few big prices there, market far too dominant on players that a;lways play well but dont win that often.
Looked at Laird, Wilson and Els, but can't work out why Chalmers is 100-1, so he'll do for a mini bet pre-event. |
|
By:
TIMMAY! oh hang on he's out.
$200 free bet on J ROSE with some other site. this is one guy that stays hot for a couple of weeks. can totally win tourneys on the trot imo. thinking of laying him for $100 on here pre tourney for free money either way but if he gets a good start its even more free money. decisons decisons. these are the days of our lives.... |
|
By:
sundog , dont think boo likes the greens here
but if he putts half decent you'd think the course would be perfect for him.. |
|
By:
How is it 'in your opinion', pokeron? It is absolute fact that he has had a hot period in which he has won 2/3 weeks before.
|
|
By:
its his opinion he can win back to back, not quite 2 out of 3
|

The prices are starting to heat up. I've backed Cabrera and Vegas at 500+, as well as Anthony 'I'm no KT' Kim at 300+. None of them are in great form but I'll cross my fingers and hope this is their week.
Have considered Gillis, Ames and Leonard around 500s, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. As someone said earlier the top of the market is full of quality, but they're not big winners so hopefully a few of my roughies can get in the mix. Good luck all. |
|
By:
Donny, don't think Boo likes the greens anywhere!
Speculative selection obviously but just thought it was worth a punt that he might ride the wave of a decent last round on Sunday and looking at his stats from P.R his first half decent week with the putter since god knows when. |
|
By:
He was going off at 150-250/1 before last week in fields weaker than this.
Personally I don't think one decent show with the putter is enough for me to want to dip in, he's still not good enough for the price IMO. |

boo likes flat greens

Have backed Charl Schwartzel at 18s and Sergio at 35s. Both playing well of late although Sergio did lose the plot a bit last week - but I will forgive him half a dozen bad holes on that course. He was -5 during the first round at one stage and had a 68 in round 3 and but for his 12 on hole 3 in the final round would have shot a similar score in the last round too.
Also backed a few at silly odds - Bobby Gates, John Daly and Tom Lewis with a view to trading. |

Jonathan Byrd whilst not a prolific winner he does nonetheless have five wins with one in each of the last two years. He has a superb long term scoring average at Innisbrook and in nine starts has never missed a cut having an average finishing position of 21st. He does tend to play the same courses well year in year out and will certainly give you a good run for your money.
John Huh - tour rookie has already had an impressive start to his PGA career and in six starts has been in contention three times and won once. Even after his win as Mayakoba he played well for two rounds at the PGA National and having had a bit of time off I can see him raring to go again and really don't see why he should be 80/1. Harris English is a great prospect and has had a consistent start to the season with six cuts made but he will be more at home on the Bermuda greens he finds this week. He admitted he struggled on the greens on the West coast but in his first Florida event he played in the final round with Rory. He did fade that day but would have learnt a lot and we must remember that in just eight Nationwide tour starts he had a 1st, 2nd and 3rd with that 3rd coming in Florida. His win came on the OSU course which he had played before and he comes to Innisbrook with some positive memories having won the Southern Amateur round here just last year! DA Points has had a pretty good start to the year with some very solid finishes and back home in Florida in the Honda he improved with every round. He has finished 27th and 28th in his two starts here in 2009/10 but I believe he is a better player now and at 100/1 is worth a play. Troy Matteson - I am going to stick with Matteson at three times the price he was last week as I still think he is improving as he was 7th for ball striking last week but let down by his putting, He can boast a 2nd and 9th here in the past and his current level of form reminds me of when he last won in 2009. |

Have backed Harrington and De Jonge this week on the strength of their Birdie or better stats on par 3's. 5 on the course and they are currently shooting under par on 20% plus on the short holes. They will probably play like dogs on the 4s and 5s but thought it was was an angle worth taking this week. Harrington at 85s in particular good potential trade name recognition etc.

Struggled to really find players I could genuinely feel had a good chance of winning outside my top two picks. Lots of players who have good recent form/ course form yet don't win enough and are plenty short. John Senden at 38s? Even if he wins I won't regret taking that price...
My Team Charl Schwartzel Nick Watney (nap) Peter Hanson Ryo Ishikawa Jonathan Byrd GL folks. |

Sneds and Day for me before the off. Good luck everybody.
