I think Horsey is overpriced this week. A proven winner who I think will be well suited to this course. Other than that, I have backed Wiesberger, Fleetwood, Gangjee and Ricardo Santos. Looks like a wide open tournament to me.

Have been really impressed with his play in the last few weeks. Like someone else said on here you never know what he will do and perhaps first round market is also worth a shout. But his various stats point to a guy in sync with his game at the moment. It's not a top quality field by any standards and he could boss this from the start.

I'm a bit of a fan of backing an outside, managed to get Peter Uihlein each way at 175's, big fan top 10 in India as well, needs a good performance to get in next week. Havret started to look good again and obviously did well here last year.

A few thoughts on the Avantha Masters - I had an original shortlist of for but discounted three of them at the available prices - Fraser just doesn't win often enough, Wiesberger - price was too short on a course in theory shouldn't suit but in practice may do!, and Oli Fisher - who I just can't seem to pull the trigger on. That left me with Kieran Pratt the hugely talented young Australian. On his first season he struggled on the Asian tour but his 6th place at the Australian Masters gave him confidence to regain his Asian tour card and he won his first start two weeks ago. He w/d last week after one round in the Philippines but I am willing to forgive that, as a player who beat Tiger head to head in his first pro start he has something about him.
Chapchai Nirat wasn't on my radar to start with but as I searched for a bet he struck me as being an interesting contender. He has improved with every start at DLF - mc/30/11 and has twice been 5th in the Indian Open. He also won the SAIL Open in India three years ago with a record breaking score of 32 under! so clearly likes the environment. He has started this season on the Asian tour with finishes of 6th and 38th but his GIR stats caught my eye - 4th each time and that will hold him in good stead this week. He has won a co-sanctioned event before so the better quality field should hold no fears - he just needs a few putts to fall.

Loads can be fancied to step up having a huge advvantage playing at home against those that wont handle the greens.

It was some sort of post and it was Jaidee.I remember as I layed 200 being as I'm good at the rules.

Richie Ramsay should be close to fav here, the 34 is a terrific price. Always been a very good all round player and is now producing very consistent results.

And the one that stands out to me at bigger odds is Rhys Davies, no idea why 100/1 so freely available. Has putted very well on grainy greens before which is the big thing for the mainland European players to conquer here, price is way too big.

My activity doesn't end there but they are the two most notable back options for mine

Well by bet on John Daly went well astray !!! But somehow or other Jbe Kruger has managed to put himself in a winning position allowing me to green up nicely on the field. After last week this is a welcome return to winning ways.

Not so hot in the states this week. Backed a few and Bubba has flirted with the leaders but keeps managing to fall away. Hopes now lie with Ryan Moore - but anyone of about 12 players still have a realistic chance. I might have a few quid on Badders if Jbe holds on for the win in India.
