The coverage of Pebble Beach was worst than the usual trivia, moronic comments, endless adverts that we get every week.
Go to their web sites and tell them what you think. Perhaps if enougth of us do it then they may start wrrying about their advertising revenue

What drives me mad is the minimum of half hour delay whilst they "hand over" from GC to CBS. Agree coverage painful compared to Sky european tour coverage.

ive only had sky for 3 weeks. ive watched most of the golf coverage this last 3 weeks. VERDICT.sky european tour coverage is miles better than the pga coverage especially this weekend. i tuned in to watch professional golf no that nonsense that was on show.a constant barradge of adverts,the cameras constantly showing so called A LISTERS carrying on like a load of school kids, then to drop the coverage completely for thirty minutes as the leaders were approaching the middle of the last round beggars belief.I wonder if the cameras would of concentrated all the time they did covering Tiger and Phil even if none of them had been in contention.

Certainly didn't enjoy this week at all really.the time given to the amateurs on Saturday was way over the top.and the fact around an hour went by on Sunday with no live shots was a joke too.not all sky's fault on that point as CBS showing some basketball game apparently

I agree. What I don't understand, is that if C.B.S. are showing basketball, then why can't The Golf Channel do another half hour ?
It was unwatchable IMO, so I didn't bother. Bill Murray prancing around like something out of The Triffids. Not for me. Faldo was a great golfer, and he knows his stuff, gives some great tips for handicappers like me, but I just wish that he would leave the jokes to the comedians. Also. Do they really need a fkin serviceman at every tournie, standing there like a pillar of granite with the Star Spangled Banner ? Rant over. |

Euro Tour coverage is much better, hard to dispute that, except the commentary on the Euro tour drains the life out of me. The most monotone, boring bunch of old farts that ever graced a commentary box. Can't stand listening to them, doctors should prescribe the Euro tour to insomnia patients, these guys could send anyone to sleep. I would rather put up with the PGA coverage as a result rather than watch Euro tour.
What we need is Euro coverage with the CBS/Golf channel commentators. |
