turning a fiver into a large amount purely though laying??

a guy known as investor on here, a fairly skint student when he deposited £63 IIRC.
he turned it into several £million on here purely laying.
Starting out all in on the U/O 8 goal market making a quid or two a night, continued churning and churning, night after night, gradually moving into U/O 7 etc, I forget how long it took him to get to £1million. 2-3 years something like that.
He put the hard work and hours in and got the dream.

I remember him saying he was very lucky he never had a loss until he'd built up enough of a cushion that it didn't wipe him out.

he must be a rare animal

He threw it (his cash cow) all away when he tried to multi account to avoid Premium Charge and got banned.

I always wondered why he left

Vaguely remember the Investor laying 2 more goals in a Portuguese game around 85 minutes, probably around 2011, was about 90 grand or so liability he hadn't been following game just thought price way below what it should be so he kept topping up. He wasn't aware of a bad injury and 16 minutes injury time shown. He redded out for about a £30000 loss.
Genuinely seemed a good guy I thought he started with £200 but my memory isn't great.

Here's my biggest ever loss:

Feirense v Beira Mar     Over/Under 1.5 Goals    06-Feb-2010    -7284.16

Lost more than £18k in just a few minutes (2010). 90th minute, market is priced up as if the game is going to end within a minute or two (0-0 is trading at 1.06), I've got money up laying goals everywhere, and the ref announces 14 minutes of extra time, followed by two very quick goals!

Anyone watching could have known this, so the error I made was assuming that any blatant mispricing (0-0 at 1.06), would quickly be taken advantage of so that basing my own odds on odds implied by other markets was safe.

Also lost £14k on the Arsenal v Newcastle 4-0 t0 4-4 fiasco.

The biggest mistake I've seen was by a bot, in a Prem Correct Score market. After a goal had been scored it put money up trying to back an impossible score, matching everything at 1000, and leaving loads up at really low odds. It all got matched, and a couple of minutes later the same thing happened again. I didn't get any of it, but I think someone lost a collossal amount of money.



As Escapee mentioned there are some great and thought-provoking threads in this now underused section; a few years back i went through the whole lot, which was then about 65 pages, and just made a bookmarks folder of the best for reference, hence managed to sort out the appropriate link quickly

Thanks for putting it up Andriy, a lot of the names seem to have disappeared from the forum.

After a few days where memories of the Investor I knew in real life, And the Investor2 posts I have read, popped in to my mind occasionally.

I am not giving a definitive verdict or opinion, but I would urge some caution in 100% concluding they are the same person.

Italy 1-2 Germany last March, Italy went 1-0 up and £20 was matched @ 1000 on Italy to win 1-0, 2-0 and 3-0.

I've done plenty of these over the years, I've actually started with £0 and won a small amount on a free spin on casino and turned £1:20 into hundreds, all on goals

bots been going mad recently. I've had 20/1 matched on 0-0 twenty mins after a goal was scored.
