I recently went to collect a few winning SSBT(self service betting terminals) slips. When I scanned them it said already paid out. On informing the shop manager I was told they were cashed out 2 hours after they placed. I left the shop immediately after placement and no other person had any access to these slips. I suspect an inside job but the bookmaker in question has no interest in helping. I have contacted IBAS regarding the case and they are assisting me at present.
Has anyone else had a similar thing happen to them, either SSBT or over the counter bet slips? I would be interested to hear you story
The key thing about getting the police involved is that the manager has the time of the bet being paid out. If there is cctv footage still available you might well be able to get them to come out. If there isn't I just think they'll say there is nothing we can do. IBAS will rule in favour of the bookie.

Happened twice to me OTC. First time the manager was addicted to the FOBTs and had cashed numerous slips, shop knew and paid out no problem.
Second time had over a monkey to collect but hadn't been able to get over to the shop for a while. Cashier told me it had been paid out, I said I'd go to the Police and report a fraud - after a panicked call to his manager all was sorted within a couple of hours. A couple of months later the same manager was working for a rival so perhaps security found him out...

I had it decades ago (1992) in a Ladbrokes in Rushden when Leeds (with Gordon Strachan and the Wallaces) won Division 1 (Premiership to you youngsters!). I had bet them @ 14/1 at start of season, went to collect at end of season and was told it was already paid out. It was in the days of carbon copy paper so I told them that if they'd given it to a person that hadn't presented the duplicate that I thrust at them then that's their fault. After a protracted arguement and the threat of the police they paid me the money.
