Simple approach for any perm you wish to do
Say you do trebles from 6 selections so you take the second number which is six selections & the do multiplication of 6X5X4= 120 ( 3 multiplications for trebles ) Then take the first part trebles ( 3 selections ) & do 3x2x1 =6 Then divide the second total into the first 120 divided by 6 =20 selections. Same approach for 4 folds from 6 except you times 4 numbers for four folds. so 6x5x4x3 = 360 4x3x2x1 =24 24 into 360 = 15 this can be done with say 8 folds from 12 as well as any other perm you wish do do. |

Very simple fraction for working out `how many from how many`, similar to pumphol`s
Start with the number of selections, in this case I`ll pick `7` So, write down `7` as the first entry on the top half of the fraction; then count down all the numbers, down to 1, giving us 7 6 5 4 3 2 1, which is the top half of the fraction. Now, let`s assume you want to know `how many five-timers from seven selections?`; so start the bottom line of the fraction with that `5`, and count down to `1` again, giving us 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 ------------- 5 4 3 2 1 Next, subtract your `how many` number, (5) from your `total selections` (7), leaving in this case `2`. Got my own answer, If I remember correctly,you work out the amounts by putting on the ladder
for settling trebles Yankees etc For example Henderson's runners today 2x3x1x2x2 vertically, which I did quickly =223 bets, correct me I'm wrong, it's been a long time. ![]() |
