been betting for a living fr the 20 years.
early days most of my bets were in the shops
.i have knowledge of the first show, so i had people on the shops taking the first show.
no longer in that ostion.
so i switched to betting with on line bookies, taking the early prices.
had 20 bet365 accounts this years all restricted,
now finding it hard to get accounts.
so from the 1st of ovtober, will try to get a profit on here.
will start with a 10k float, and willl bet 1% of stake as a miminmum bet....£100.
if the staking bank goes up to £11k, my miminmum bet will be £110,
and if the float goes dowm my mimimnun bet will still be £110.
i will having more on if the price is bigger than what i make it,
or if i fancy a selection strong.
will post my profit and loss now and again.
so it is all go from tuesday.
will not answer any stupid questions,

small bet at 6.4...then it went 5.8...thought it might go back out to 6.0 did not.did not stop crashing , at the end i betted it at 3.75. i suppose u should price up every race where u fancy a dog. and if betfair price is above your price, just take it, if it goes bigger, have more on |

That's what I've seen happen at even small stakes on here so as you know you are invested at the bigger odds for smaller stakes so committed to the follow through at the inevitable low value price.
People will not understand that for someone like yourself who knows what prices dogs that can win should be freedom to bet at a price is key. Hopefully you can get enough on these at the 'right' prices before the inevitable collapses. |

just gone on the basic plan...2% commission.
that should hopefully add £500+ per month to the bottom line. already better off by £25 the last two days. obiviousely, the more winners u bet the more you saving u make |

How many bets a week roughly, is it level stakes.

hard to say how many bets,
20 to 39 roughly, try to lay out the same stake every time, i could bet three dogs in a race, one winner the other two braking level on the race, a lot of times you break level on most winners, 3/1 4/1, but it is the 8/1 and 10/1 winners that give u the profit on the week. if you make two dogs 5/2.....if one of them is 7/2 and the other is 8/1, you cannot have the same stake on both dogs, u lump on the 8/1 and that could be the difference that week to winning or losing |

starship. 365 do still do lucky 15's. They don't show though when you are not logged in. I've tried to find them not knowing I wasn't logged in and they're not there. Saw that I wasn't logged in and once I did, the lucky 15 option appeared.

How do you manage discipline. If you have the urge to chase or bet on stupid things you dont know for example?

If you really struggle with those things, you need to make the process as formulaic as possible, IMHO.
Force yourself to record every bet you place. Include comments about why you are placing the bet before the event. Appraise the bet after the event, particularly if it loses, including anything you missed before it started that was publicly available. If you can't come up with a legitimate justification for placing the bet, it should be easier to then leave it alone. If you still HAVE to have a bet (particularly if it's an amount you can't afford to lose), then you are ultimately doomed to fail and should probably walk away from the site and/or get counselling. |
