With all the big football leagues having being on their summer hols, I've been thinking about the consequences, possibilty, and likelihood, and also, it would seem, the frequency, of this occurring.

I have few thoughts on the subject, nothing new, I suppose it's all been said and asked before but anyway, here goes:

1... No-one likes it when the site goes down. I don't suppose that bf are very happy when it happens.

Has the possibilty of all in-plays wagers being cancelled?
Yes, I'm thinking of myself here. In-play football trading is my thing.
I don't let my bets run, ever, so the cash-out facility,other rather the presence and working of, is absolutely paramount for me.
2...Is there any chance of a "plan B"?
If you've backed to lay, or vice versa, wouldn't it be possible to place your trade-out bet with another betting website?
What do the "big-hitters" do?
Surely THEY don't just "suck it up" and absorb the loss.
And betfair,
Can there really not be a "plan B" separate "get out of jail" site.
Doesn't betfair own 365 now? Would it be possible to go there and get out?

Increasing VAR is a big threat and worry for in play soccer IMO. My strategy is based on in play time decay. Going to be a problem for BF to manage to be fair. Market suspensions etc. after "a goal". There will be loads of added time in games. And until 45mins and 90mins are up we won't know how much. Courtsiders going to have a bigger advantage

Just looked at one online merchant and some in-play mkts, they had a £10 limit, maximum stake and they call that betting. J.F.C.

BF are a brand owned by the same company (formerly "Paddy Power Betfair", now "Flutter") that also owns the Paddy Power brand (and Sportsbet in Aus, and Fanduel and TVG in the US, and...) if that is what you were thinking of? |

I'm setting myself up to get shot down here I know but: If as seems to me the bf computer system is finding the whole thing a bit too much, and let's face it, there's one hull of a load going through this place at any one given time, maybe it's time to think about lightening the load. How difficult would it be to have say, bf racing.com ? and a bf football.com ? They seem to be the two biggies to me. Or why not a bfsportsbook.com ? and a bfexchange.com? Well ? Why not? |
