in racing post today, a punter had £40 grand cash bet in their shop on the derby fav.
did they asked where he got the money from?
thought their was rules about these sort of transactions, money laundering?

Can't believe that a shop would accept a 40k bet. I had a laddies tiller show the manager my slip for permission to take a ton bet a few years back.

40K on- half hour later, sorry Sir I make it £39,980 I'll have to count it again. Biggest laugh was when Hills stated they'd taken a £400,000 cash bet on Big Bucks at 1/4 my pal had asked them for £400 when shops opened and told he could bet it to win £25

£40 is not unusual, not get much more on though.
