Thought I'd ask on here as the developers forum can be unread for ages....
I have an appkey which works fine with API-NG, but I get a response of "NOT-AUTHORISED" when trying
the "Authenticate" call of the streaming API.
Do I need to ask Betfair for a separate enabling of my appkey for the streaming API ?
(if not I am probably doing something wrong in the program)

Yes - you need to speak to the BDP team to enable your appkey for streaming.
Not that I'm any kind of guru - just going off the website (see last line):

BTW streaming API is the way forward - wish my software writing skills were still as sharp as when I used to do it for a living in the 90s, but even so, anyone writing automated betting software using the existing polling API rather than the stream needs their head examined.
