General Betting

My betting has become a bit reckless as of late so I'll be posting my bets on here in order to try help focus myself and stay more disciplined.
I only have an unrestricted coral account and titanbet account, most of the rest were limited to peanuts during more successful times. I also have a sportingindex account and of course an exchange account.
I will post every bet and stake as and when I make them. I may also provide write ups for my bets or maybe provide brief reasoning. Golf and Racing are my main areas of interest. With racing I often wait till the very last second before placing a bet or sometimes even placing them in running. I'll address this come the time as I may bust my bank long before needing to address the issue.

A chunky bet on Speith at the open £75 e/w (coral paying 7 places) 12/1
Saver on Stenson £20 ew 28/1 £5 ew Speith first round leader 20/1 Speith is my go to man at the majors and at this sort of price I felt I had to get involved pretty heavily. In his last 6 majors he has won twice, had 2 seconds, a 4th and a 37th place. His current odds seemed too good an opportunity not to get involved. Hopefully its an ew bet to nothing. Stenson too is very consistent in the majors, although I have doubts he has what it takes to win this. Hopefully he is there or there abouts and wins me some ew mone. If all the big names falter he may have a chance... |

Commodore placing (4th) and Black Bess (epsom 8.20) winning. All 3 bets on the nags today were close calls, so luck seems to have been with me today. Commodore placed at 6.6 and black bess won at 13.0
Stenson still in contention at the open, Speith not so much Bit more money to play with so hopefully this thread doesn't fizzle out before getting into more meatier bets. Currently sitting £758.15 with the golf bets to finish on Sunday |

Will be busy most of the day so will put up my 3 bet for later at BSP
Casterbridge 3.50 at haydock £20 BSP. Trainer/jockey combo in good form, horse has some course form and the cut in the ground shouldn't be an issue. Big price in a very winnable race Anton Chigurh 5.25 at haydock £20 BSP. Apprentice race for a horse that ran well last time out and has some good course form. Ground and possible rain shouldnt be of too much concern. If he runs his race he should go close. Silvanus 7.30 Ponty. £10ew BSP. Trainer has won this the last 4 years, twice with the now 11 yearold Silvanus. Trainer also has a much fancied short price favorite in the race, but Silvanus has a chance having shown decent form this season. Stenson putting a good round together at the Open. No more drop shots and he should be in a nice position. |
