I clicked my account and got a pop up that said we need to verify you have the correct information, it displayed my email and username and then asked me to put in my password.
I thought it was a bit dodgy but I just clicked the X and it hasn't appeared again.
Is this official from betfair or some kind of virus?

I had the same popup window yesterday.I typed the password and it disappeared. It's not the first time I think.
I clicked X too.
it's not the right way to do this.
no secure site should have random and unprompted pop-ups asking for your password.
