Paddy Power Mgt at Betfair have been gradually running down the Exchange for 3 years.

This is another example of markets taken away from the Exchange for exclusive betting on the Betfair Sportsbook.

jamesdean and Darlo Bantam on soon stating this does not matter.

The Betfair Betting Exchange has over the 3 year period been stamped into the ground - zero advertising, Exchange hidden away on www.betfair.com, football matches taken off the Exchange for Exclusive Sportsbook betting, markets taken away from the Exchange, Live Video streams cut to the bone and a crap Exchange Website.

There has been no positive changes to the Betfair Exchange since Paddy Power Mgt took over 3 years ago.

Would have quite fancied a bet on this but as I am not allowed to bet on the Sportsbook I will have to give it a miss.

Sorry, but it would be so wrong to have this market on the exchange, since the result is already known. Not sure how legal it would be to allow punters to put money up on a result that some people will already know.

So it is OK for the Betfair Sportsbook to take money from unsuspecting customers and refuse bets on the winner?

Take, take and take again from the Paddy Power FOBT hit squad.

No wonder the bookmaking industry is shrinking by the year. LaughLaughLaugh

To be honest, I don't think it's entirely fair no; the difference is that it's Betfair who are standing money against people who could know the result though and that's the key difference.

There's a lot of mud you can throw at Betfair but opening a market on the exchange on already known, definite result, isn't (imo) one of them.

Didn't know that was the case.
It should not be on the Sportsbook either then. And nor should any bookmakers be allowed to take bets on it.

Filmed about six months ago.

Wouldn't be a bad business plan to take in; give me £250,000 so I can bet on the winner of Betfair Exchange to make 10x that amount.
