Just exploring Forecast Betting as an option. I wonder how the market is set, particularly on the greyhounds. The prices flick around all over the place. Are punters laying all these forecast prices ? Is Betfair generating them from bookmakers or Betfair win prices ? Are there professional Betfair punters who focus on this ? (I couldn't do it in a month !) Is Forecast Betting worth consideration ? The TAB in Australia has no trouble displaying Exacta prices (Forecast Betting) as its all done by a computer. They always operate on about 118% and no thought is required but an individual trying to mimic the TAB computer would have his work cut out for him.

Forecast prices on here are automated in the five or so minutes before each race.  Not by Betfair but an exchange player using automated software.  That's why they always fluctuate (being derivates of outright and place markets to a set percentage, but will also jump in front of any offers made up to a certain set of parameters)

Thank you CLYDEBANK29. So in your opinion you would be taking 'unders' if you bet into that market ?

The majority of the time yes, but as in any market not always.
