Is betfair the slowest and least reliable internet betting platform around?

While I'm a sucker for most things nostalgic, the experience of trying to trade on Betfair since the reliable and trusted old site was denied us taking me back to the feeling I had in dial-up days is starting to grate.

Is this just me or do others find the poor responsiveness of the site pretty making it much unusable at times?
