you have to be a winner overall . If not there is a mistake

have you used the same account all the time...an account is allowed 250 markets or a £1000 allowance which is akin to winning £5,000 @ 20% PC.

Premium charge now showing under MY ACCOUNT > ACTIVITY. Only noticed this today.

no one on betfair will pay less than 22.5% comm. fact

i really wish theyd make the premium charge more clear. ive never paid it, i once got very close to paying it and had some of my allowance took off otherwise i would have had to pay it, then i had a rotten year or 2 where i couldnt do much right and eventually my 'premium portal' thing vanished completely. recently had a good run and i'm curious if if im getting anywhere near paying it again, but dont have a premium portal so i guess im not. the whole thing is so ridiculously complicated and un-user friendly.

does anybody know if the premium portal still exists and how close to paying you need to be to see it? i had one for ages and was always teetering on the abyss until i had a crazy month about 2 years ago and blew about 20k. never had a premium portal since. id like one, even if im not that close to paying it. its nice to know how much commission ive been paying!

bob you can access it when you drop below 50% comm. paid

if im over 50% commission, i should be eligible for the 'done me nuts in' premium refund?

|
By:
bob that's their 50% generated but really you will have paid nearer 80%

just seen the new premium charge portal on my account - then activity and this is an up to date lifetime account paid and % so you should be able to access your details

By:
im not clever enough to work that one out... i never really understood what generated commission was back in the day lol
is there still this lifetime profit thing in place? ive got no idea where id stand with that. i cant find a premium thing on my account. if its a separate bit under activity, i dont have it. i have 5 options starting with my bets and ending with p&l |
|
By:
i guess it will only appear when you fall below the 50% generated comm. paid. you can win a net profit of £250,000 before going onto 40/60% comm.
very confusing imho![]() |

By:
oh thanks. £250k is better than i thought. wasnt sure if it was 150k. though ive got no idea how much i may be in profit overall. when you bet with loads of different bookies over 15 years its impossible to even guess. especially if you have good acca bets going, then cover one leg on here. you dont even care where your winning bet was placed.
hopefully, i'll fall back below the 50% by keeping on winning! ![]() |

Its a bit sneaky on the myaccount summary how commission generated is now just refered to as commission, as if thats how much you've paid. Also does anyone remember years ago there was going to be a live version of the pc portal, bf must be still working on it....

my guess is that if an accountant saw the way betfair do their math's
they would shake their head in disbelief i have paid alot of comm. over the years but would hate to think what my real total paid was ![]() ![]() |

Cannot remember the last time Betfair produced anything positive to enhance the customer experience.
It has went from a vibrant betting exchange (leading the way in in-play betting together with comprehensive Live Video coverage) to a small time bookmaker with the Exchange being run down. Betfair lost its way with the introduction of premium charges and it has been on a downward spiral since. The Senior Mgt appear to only care about Share Price, Betfair Spudsbook and screwing as much money as possible from the few people who do win on the Exchange. |
