it seems there is a new automatic logout feature and the longest one can set it for is four hours. is there any way to turn it off completely?

btw since the forum was updated to a new format i hadn't been able to post (but could read posts) until today when i went to the new version of the site and opened the forum there. back on the old site now of course.

Just noticed this today. I assumed I was logged out because they seem to have updated the account section with a PC portal.

The latter has been needed for a while.

Whereabouts in the account section are you seeing a PC portal CJ?

I just had a look and can't see it anywhere.

Is this a case of them rolling it out periodically?

It must be - that option doesn't appear for me.

It's a money saving move. Need fewer servers to update clients.

Penny wise, pound foolish IMO.

Quick insight into the half-assed ineptitude of Betfair in its current state.

The site logs you out after about four hours now, presumably for security reasons. HOWEVER, (as before), it accepts the first bet placed after you've supposedly been logged out, even if it's many hours later - then refuses to process any more.

So, if you come back to the site after a few hours and try to trade a fast moving market, guess what. You're stuck in your first position till you log in again.
