General Betting

Had a look at my recent history today and the whole format has changed make analysis really difficult. Instead of logical columns breaking the data into Market, Selection, Date which can be sorted easily in Excel they lump most of this under Description. BSP bets are tagged in the field with the odds so you will have to have a formulae to extract the odds.
WTF!!!!
Almost like a purposeful way to make anaysis of your betting much harder. I selected horse racing and it still mixes in greyhounds in the data.
Was this change announced? What is the logic - to annoy us?

- choose date range does not work - gives 3 months every time when you download to excel
- select horse racing / greyhounds, does not work gives you both and no easy way to sort as the only identifier is the title of the track in description - there are lots of tracks! |

Unless they fix this you will have to cut and paste from your account ststement into excel page by page to get useful data = very tedious

I just downloaded last 7 days and it seems to be as it was before?

Zooot - Are you looking at the shockingly bad "Mt Bets" page under "Activity"?
The old pages are still there if you drop down the "Activity" menu and choose other options. I've told them some of the reasons that "My Bets" is useless, but they never listen to me in spite of the thousands of pounds I pay in commission. |

Very weird. If you go to betting history via Summary as I have always done you now get this under the field "Description"
"04:21 Sittingbourne 1. Razldazl Bigbear - Win Betfair Bet ID1:51514896961 | Placed: 08-Jun-15 04:21:07" But if you go to betting history via Betting you get it in the format I am used to for years: Televised Cards / Henl 7th Jun / 04:15 A4 460m 1. Savana Chloe Back With key data separated. So I am happy to have a solution but confused as to why the change has occurred and two forms of history are presented depending on the path you choose. So forget about clicking on Summary to access stuff (the profit and loss does not work here either) - go to Betting and you see all your data as it has always been. Just hope this path continues to work. |

IT departments are run by charlatans, if nothing changes, they will be out of a job, so they constantly invent reasons why upgrades etc are required.

An added bonus, my system crashes when calling for a P+L on the day. Never that way on old data read.

Honestly, the best thing Betfair could do for this site would be to sack everyone working on "improving" it, effective immediately.
They'd save a load of money on salaries, and the site would stop spiralling into infuriating unusability. |
