my mate is mad on lucky 15s, he says its the only bet, as you get treble odds 1 winner. I would like to prove him wrong with other bets. I like to have singles and a double. a bet of mine would   £4 win on each and £6 double I do this in in 2 bets and then put a £2 acc on all 4 staking £30, hope this makes sense. my mate as say 2 x£1 lucky 15s , which bet would you consider the better bet over the long term.

A hard call. IMO the shorter the prices
the better, non handicap favourites, it
suits the latter bet better than the
former. The Lucky15 is carved in stone,
but the latter bet would be better £6 on
each + a £3 double. That would be the
better IMO.

I agree with Kenilworth.

It seems mad to me to be staking 50% more on your doubles than you do on your singles, and sods law say you'll get a winner on each slip to fook your double up.

Lucky 15s are a great bet imo but I don't think it's worth doing "shorties" in them.

The single bet 'shorties' are the value, I only
wish I could the single bets by them selves,
one winner 1/1 or better gets your money back,
little fish are sweet?

I don't get what you mean there?

One winner on a lucky 15 at 5/1 gets your money back. Two Evens winners on a lucky still means you lose almost half your stake, and three winners at Evens doesn't even double your stake.

def want longer odds for lucky 15s

Assuming true odds 4 x 1/1 shots gives a return of 15.5 for 15 staked, 4 x 4-1 is 18.28 and 4 x 7-1 is 19.69

What I meant was one winner at 1/1 gets
your money back on the singles. The yankee
is just that.

Keco, I don't see the the connection
with the discussion in this thread.
Do you?

Lucky 15 and every other system can be explained as sum of different systems (or just one solo system e.g. 2 out of 4 (2/4) ). On given address you can find general explanation of systems under /blog, but also there is a calculator /ProfitTable.aspx where you can see which system is most profitable for any given parameters. So discussion about that theme is not needed from "what is better" point of view, because mathematically that problem has been solved.. I am not disputing personal preferences though, only wrong opinions :)

this topic comes up again and again, the fact is in the lucky15 the triple odds one winner is a genuine concession , other multiples offer no concessions , you just get what you pay for , no more no less.
