Hi has anyone had trouble using the two step authentication code. I am trying to beef up the security of my account. I can get the 6 digit code on my smartphone either using the scanner or manually but the betfair account never recognizes the code. (invalid code please try again) Followed all the instructions to a T and have input the 6 digit code many times without any luck. Help! thanks.

Which phone are you using?
Works flawlessy with my Nokia, but can't get it working with the Acer Liquid. Some issue from phone to phone I'm guessing? |

Check the clocks are correct on your computer and phone. If they are out by more than a minute it will never work.

Thanks guy's got it working now, not sure what the problem was! It's a great security addition and must make account hacking or fraud almost impossible, I hope! Highly recommend it!

How did you sort it? I've had no luck and using two phones is an inconvenience to say the least.

I've downloaded an App called AuthenticatorG. Searched for Google Authenticator and that was the closest match. Is this Google Authenticator?

Appears it isn't.
"Google Authenticator for Windows has been discontinued and support for the program has been pulled." As I have a Windows phone it's a fat lot of good to me then. The Betfair Helpdesk had no idea. |

Microsoft Authenticator is your boy. Works fine with my Nokia and Betfair.

CB - I had same problem to start with, had a Windows phone like you.
Bleedin customer support was useless - told me I had to use an app which was not available on my phone, but if you follow the online instructions here it should tell you to download a different app (works for Windows phones). You need to go to the install section in your account, then select Windows and it tells you the app to install. Apparently the support team didn't know this when I asked them!  |

Hi I'm using the google version on my new samsung and works fine now. I think I was waiting to long to input the code, need to be quite quick! Good luck!
