Hi,

For the occasional lump job and In a lot of long term markets especially with PP I find it very hard to get any sort of money on even when in the shops, boxing and mma lots of times have limits of around 1k, powers even 500 for even money shots on these sports. Tennis season long bets can get very little on too, take any amount on horses or football but these markets. Struggle with boyle, laddies or powers.

Are the english based ones any better? I know ladbrokes is, but I mean the will hill's, betvictor's etc. I like website's where they have an info button you can check the max stake, will any of these accept 10k on 1/2, 4/6 shots

Betfair like to leave these markets going up till quite late, and sometimes they offer very little liquidity till fight week.

English based better than what?  English are the worst bookmakers in the world.

Irish bookmakers I primarily use are pp and boyl es, I reckon they trail in terms of high stakes anyway.

matchbook has a lot more liquidity for mma events but not quite as good price wise, i either use them or just spread my money round at the sites you mentioned in the OP.

Not a chance you'd get £10k on an  MMA fight unless the shop knew you or the price was dreadful value imo

Would have no problem getting £10k on Mayweather/Pacquaio

Try Toals in Northern Ireland, I know a couple of big cash punters
and Toals never refuse their business.

Try punting anything heavy that's trading thereabouts on the exchanges and they'll call the police on you.

Heard Pinnnacle are good, anyone use them? I emailed them though, and they said for fights the limit is normally 10k, they don't price up fights till fairly late either and give the worse prices.

Pinn is one of the bests. Betting there every day for many years. Big bets are OK. Never cut limits, bets are rejected/refunded only on postponed and interrupted events.

Why use bookies to back? the odds are (nearly) always worse than an exchange even taking into account comms.

Anyone hit with premium Charges will bet elsewhere now where possible.

Nobody is going to risk big money on Betfair when an even money bet is tax free at the books/purple and 4/5 on Betfair after 20% premium charges and an incredible 3/5 after 40% premium charges.

That is why liquidity is dying away as these people now use Betfair Exchange as a place of last resort for betting.

Sad days

That is only the case if you are never going to pay PC in the future.

If you are on 50% a even £100 bet is in fact an even £50 bet,
because if it loses you will not pay £50 PC on your next £100 profit.

The premium charge only applies to very few people. for the rest of the us, why would you use a bookie? Favs are 11% better on average so even after comms youre better off. On the bigger prices the margin is even greater.

Am I wrong?

The bookies want mug business. If all your bets are win singles they don't even want you as a customer. Even if lose a wee bit, they
know they're not going to get you onto the one-armed bandits.

Look at Race Bets. They only do the horses, their offers are cr@p, their prices are worse - that's what you get when there are no slot
machines. Sad but true.
