Is there any recourse to be taken when prolonged market suspensions end up not only costing you a profit but end up in a loss?

I figure there is really nothing that can be done about it but as an exchange newbie I wanted to ask the forum.

Thank you.

You mean like the pathetic long suspension during injury time between Sporting and Benfica tonight?

I'm afraid not.

You feel my pain and yes, that is just one example. Another one was a Mexican Premier League Game that ended not too long ago that spent more time in Suspension than not.

I didn't think there was a recourse, just wanted to double check.

Thank you.

no ,.but it might be prudent to have an a/c with a back up exchange - it still does happen occasionally in the old soccerball ,but less than it used to   .

2007 time was a nightmare on here for that i recall

Thanks CB.

I do have some backup accounts but none were offering an In-Running price on that event. I suppose I could always call into Betfair if necessary.  Thankfully, I didn't have a large position on that particular event but was thinking "what if", ecspecially for the future.

not sure if it was suspended that phoning in would work. There are often matches that are listed as going in play but don't and the only time they open them up is at half time. when most people have done their bollox.

They usually say it is due to lack of feeds, but someone on here did day that one match was being bet in in play on the sportsbook but suspended on here.

Rule of thumb: Betfair don't recompense you when something goes wrong.

Careful about having overexposure on a market Bubica. You also have the threat of your own internet outage, or the Betfair site go completely down. A fair while since the latter happened, but if it does, it's carried on for hours in the past, and you could be utterly screwed if you're over betting.
