I put a bet on a fight in the UFC, when I turned it on maybe 3mins later I could see this fight was already well into the later stage, now this was a market betfair forgot to suspend. It wasn't an in running bet, and why I contact them they insist this market was correctly suspended 19mins later, i've sent them time stamps from in running round by round scoverage and they claim they are happy and correct that this market was correctly suspended when it was. The guy lost every round so I was hardly trying to pull a fast one, here's the bleacher report on it.

The photo's i tried to add here are "awaiting approval" but they show the fact by the time they suspended the fight it was basically if not already over and 19mins after i'd placed my bet, it should clearly be void but they are just dismissing every email and even that photo evidence from bleacher report

Was the market in question put in-play at any point before the fight was over?

If it was put in-play (even if late), your bet will stand. If it was never put in-play, you placed your bet after the off, and the market was only suspended and closed after the fight finished, your bet should be void. All in Betfair's rules.

It was never in play none of the prelim fights where in play with the sportsbook they all get suspended before the fight starts, they only made a mistake with this fight. Clearly the trader took his eye of the ball i've sent them time stamps that show when they say they suspended the betting before the fight it was right at the bell for the end of the fight, the odds never changed they just got suspended so they can't pretend they covered this fight on the sportsbook, the trader made a mistake, but as their policy they can't admit that ever

Sabu,

try @BetfairHelpdesk on twitter.  Find they do a good job going down the hall and finding out what has happened.

Also, trying to get a picture in my head because aware of a similar incident that someone had.

a) You were using the exchange Y/N
b) You placed a bet at odds other than the BID/ASK that you feel would not have been matched at the time the match started and should have been CANCELED.

Have I got it right?

If not, lay out the steps before and after the fight started.

I placed this bet on in the sportsbook, problem is the fight was basically over when i backed it. It had 2mins late, and it wasn't an in running event they just forgot to suspend the betting. They said my case is closed and they're happy with it, and keep sending customer satisfaction surverys, it's like a bad joke i've sent them screenshots that are timestamped from bleacher report. But I guess that's not good enough?

If it's like you say it is, then there is no doubt they would have voided your bet if it had won. You have to expect this kind of behaviour from "bookies" which is essentially what the sportsbook is...

they won't even show opposing proof, or put forward and kind of reason. They even said we correctly suspended this even at 1.47 or something which would of been 15mins too late and then just say that they are happy with how the case has been resolved??? BS

Focus on getting time of first bell.  Get this independently either through another bookmaker (independent might help you) or get the time from the broadcaster.

From there, check against the time on your slip.

From there, send it two them and get a response.

this has all be done, there's an insert photo option on this page but it won't let me insert them. I've been waiting a few days for another response
