Morning All,

I have woke up this morning to find £4.71 in my account, This should be over £100. I know it's not a great deal of money but it's still a couple of days work for me. I checked my account statement to find that somebody has been using casino. The amount was £5 each time. It doesn't tell me much more. What do I do ? I have messaged Betfair on live chat and they said they will get back to me. I am literally shaking and feel sick. WTF !?!?! How is it even possible. After searching for the same think on Google I find that this happens to ALOT of customers and most don't get there money back. Are we not safe and backed by Betfair ? What are the chances of me getting my money back and has anybody else ever had this problem ?

There used to be a "my security" tab that you could click to show the IP address and country of all logins but I can't find it nowConfused (it is a bit early for me)........

Hopefully, somebody will be able to tell you where it is.

I assume that you have already changed your password this morning?

Have just found it:

Go to My account>Account Details then click on "my security" (top left) and on the right hand side should be a list of your successful logins. Check for suspicious logins.

They used to allow you to limit logins from you're own country but I guess EU regulations put a stop to that to allow free movement of hackers within Betfair, on the bright side I guess it does save enough money to buy those Google Glass things Betfair's Barry Ore wears on TV

Customers get zero compensation should their account be hacked and they suffer losses.

This happened to me a few years ago, Betfair accepted that my account had been hacked but they take no responsibility for losses per the T&Cs.

People think that their money in Betfair has the same protection as banks but in reality there is no protection at all.

You can self exclude yourself on a product by product basis

You could probably do with 2-step authentication as well.

^ Exactly.

You can bet if you haven't got this set-up they won't listen.

That is a bit of a concern, I have got more than a few £100 I will need to bolster my security, I have excluded myself from the casino but if it can be hacked why wouldn't they have just taken the money from your account?? I will try and find out how to increase the security but thank you for highlighting this.
