A friend of mine wants me to place bets on his behalf as he normally just waste profit on silly arcade games. I have been giving my friend regular tips for around a year has never withdrawal a penny of the profits. So he wants me to place the bets for him on my account, I was wondering is this illegal to do or If doing this as a company would I require a gambling license from the gambling commission?

i think tax is your primary concern.

otherwise you can just view it as a two man syndicate so no licenses/permission required.

but when you act as an agent or provide a service for another individual, tax comes into the equation.
