General Betting

Now Im the first to admit to not being at all techy.
But over the past few weeks Ive found that Betfair has been running slower and slower.
Cant be my pc or my laptop cos they work fine when Im doing letters or a bit of you tube.
But I was getting concerned that my machines while betting would grind to a virtual halt half way through my betting afternoon.
API about to crash? or Betfair problems? it only happens when Im betting.....
My son used my laptop for a school project and found it to be fine. Then yesterday he was watching me on Betfair. The fan was whirring and the machine getting very hot and it was struggling to cope with my bot and open browers and various other things.
And there we have the problem....
During betting we are probably using much more resources than we would normally and the machine is overheating which makes it run slow.
My son downloaded 'Speccy' from download.com and we took a note of the cpu temperatures during betting and while using it for simple documents.
Betfair with programs plus browsers made the cpu run at over 100 deg C but when used otherwise it was around 45 to 50 deg C
The solution was to get the vacuum cleaner and suck out all the crud in the vents.
Betfair now runs properly and the laptop and pc runs like new, fast and quiet.
If I only knew this months ago...

every few months go into my desktops and do a vac, am amazed how bad they get...never had a go at the laptop but may just do that
