personally i like it, good if you have a bet on accas, can pull the pin before all ya moneys gone, does beat having to go through the hassle of placing opposite bets if you look like losing.....its kind od hard to bet on anything without having the opt out option now.

You can cash out on most bookmaker sites now, bet365 do it. Sportsbook is awful. I got a £25 free bet and was limited to £7 on most things! managed to back overs at evens for £15, all i was allowed. Thats why people hate it. In addition to it becoming more important to betfair than the exchange and them plugging more and more money into the sportsbook than the exhcnage, look at the "new" exchange that is what 2 years old now? And its still not right! Half the issues on the exchange, the crashing at 3pm on every other saturday, the withdrwal or prizes etc etc could have been addressed if money was spent here rather than the sportbook.

@MrLay0-0

I don't experience "they skim about 10%" - you can see the bets it places, I don't see any skimming going on.  It puts the bets in a few ticks off best (I assume to make it more likely they match) but mine normally get matched for a slightly better price than asked, which is just like laying it myself.

@@MrLay0-0 - can you point me to one?  (I'm not a Twitter user).

I did some Football back-to-lays using the BF cashout last week and the bets all looked un-skimmed to me.

didnt realise what bad value this is.dutched a few players in doubles across this weeks tournies on the sportsbook,had coetzee & walker amongst them.the double for those 2 would pay me £1001.when walker was on the 10th tee i was offered £780 when he could be laid at 1.06,on the 12th tee could lay him at 1.02 on exchange,cash out offered £810.so they wanted to charge £190 for a bet i could cover for £20.very poor betfair sportsbook.

Utter rip off imo - it's just another way of skimming money from exchange customers.

They've got the PC to take money from the customers that know what they're doing.  Cashout takes money off those that don't know what they're doing.

If it was good for you and bad for them BF wouldn't be offering it.
