You gotta love all this new moaning and whinging (welcome to the club) about the new hike in commission in various other countries! and the sooner the uk com level is increased to 10% also...... the better.

why should i be on 20%  or super pc level when average joe numpties are getting the same appalling service for less than half of what im paying for it.

Nice to see fair...implementing a fairer charge this time across the board that will affect almost everyone..  Laugh

I really hope this is another nail in the coffin with the masses affected this time.  I'm still here because i cant do... what i do...as successful anywhere else at the moment.  Id like to thank betfair for hopefully pushing more people away yet again!

well done guys,.... keep up the good work.

If a Company earned 4000 up to 5000 Euro from you,
this Company normally should kiss your ass,
but betfair instead kicked you in the ass.

per month ... in my case

i thought the pc was to advertise for new punters ?

not to advertise for sportsbook, where newbies are directed

new deductions will be like the old days of tax on bookies bets, will
there be a pop up offering the option to pay tax on bet, not winnings....?

For PC payers the new raise is a mute point. In theory we should now pay less PC. The only downside will be the tougher task of trying to recover from a losing run.

It's not quite a moot point for PC payers.

If you are on 5% commission and 20% rate PC and
Win £1,000 lose £750, you pay £50 commission and £13.75 PC for £186.25 net profit.
Total Charges 25.50%

If you are on 7% commission and 20% rate PC and
Win £1,000 lose £790, you pay £70 commission and £3.75 PC for £176.25 net profit.
Total Charges 29.50%

That's charges actually paid (not generated, which is shown on the PC portal).

Sorry I guess my point was for 40% PCers. But I can see where taking it off the top is more punishing. I just know I have to generate 40% total charges(some how) in their complicated calculation system.

It very much affects 40 percenters too. More often than not the negative impact, measured in percent reduction of annual profit, will be greater for them actually. It's only half of the commission you actually pay that counts towards commission generated.

Thanks, a bigger question for me is- What is my rate of return on here? I estimate about 8% from bets I leave at a final position. With commission going up that could leave much less - maybe only 3% for me. Is it worth the negative health consequences of spending hours on my @ss in front of a computer? Metinks, not so much.
