Starting to use "system" to rate races again, after personal circumstances have kicked me sideways last 3 years.
STAKING has always been a main "problem" for me and recording some of thoughts on each day might lead to some valuable contributions from other posters on thread.
Won't post RATINGS til I have placed bets.
Only doing 3 races today ...the 3.00 , 3.10 and 3.40 ones.
Only using a small bank of £500 , as I have not been keeping up to date re how races have been going and am a bit "ring rusty" .....but need to get system up and running and I am cracking on.
Avoiding LAY bets initially, as the "system" was mainly devised to find VALUE on BACK bets.
Trying to keep amount "risked"/staked on each race to no more than 15% of bank.
Already put bets on 3.00 race.....so will post ratings now.

I fancied CLEVE COTTAGE as EW bet ...and this is main bet for me.....

DFC - Is the bank an absolute total bank, daily bank??
Betting 15% of any bank on one race is suicide. Seems you are trying cover all bases with your bets which to me means you have very little confidence in your ratings. Doing fc bets is the road to the poor house as the margins on them are huge. I do them whenever I have a b365 account to keep the account looking like a mug account and because I know I will get massive value on the fixed odds fc because normally both selections will be backed.
Anyway, GL with your betting but you are making the classic mistake of trying to win too much with a nominal bank. Always leads to bust on any bad swing.

RG - just using £500 for getting myself back into watching and keeping abreast of how races are being run for JANUARY.
I know I made a few errors in ratings yesterday.............due to not being watching enough races recently. Also a bit rusty ( IRONMAN etc
) on using "system", and these factors combined with knowing each STRATEGY should work long term at certain times in year led me to attempt to use parts of them.......
FIRST day ....so hopefully I will get ratings up to better standard, then get used to applying some strategies more in line with how they are supposed to be applied!!!!
15% on 1 race is too high.....mind you if the 15 % had been only applied to the WIN MARKET on the 3 races.....and ignoring the PLACE MARKETS ......today would have been a profit. WOULDA ....COULDA....SHOUDAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
You know what it is like re betting.......a loss will happen now and then ...and yesterday it was the PLACE MARKET where results led to a loss....due to RATINGS not being up to high enough standard . Hopefully such losses are not in the BLACK SWAN mold , where a RUN of LOSSES occurs.....and the GOOD DAYS produce higher PROFITS than the days when losses are made.
As for SFCs/RFCs, it was relatively small bets and I know I have to cut out such bets, as not a STRATEGY that "works" using RATINGS....so far!

Some people are in to "systems", so the thread might "interest" some....and as far as I'm concerned I might get some useful comments. Thus the thread is for my benefit mainly.
Last 2 days I'm about £174 up on bank through some bets without the "system" on horse racing and football. This reasonably good from my perspective operating with £500 bank, and whilst only £3.19 up on the "systems" thread, I'm happy enough with progress SO FAR re getting in tune with current racing.
The WIN MARKET results on thread are up to good standard.....just the PLACE BETTING has been costly .....but only 2 days into thread, and my betting selections will improve as days go by now Im using the "system".
Have not seen any enlightening posts from you on Forum.....so I suggest you just stay in cheap seats and suffer the thread. If you don't like it don't watch it!

Today my mood was effected by "domestic matters" and probably feeding in manually race data into "system" for 8 races took its toll on my energy levels today.
My judgment on bets placed was just pretty poor.......
The RATINGS generally have been above average probably, but yesterday the AW races in particular were just not good enough.
INSOLENCEOFOFFICE win was an annoying one, as it was above the line and I knew it had a fair chance to win......but just never cover it winning.
I also missed placing 3 PLACE bets in 3.10 race......."tiredness" / lack of energy probably the cause of me getting this wrong!
I have been doing "well" on FOOTBALL bets over the 3 days and this has at least kept my "test" bank above £500 ...

DFC - Do you really believe you can spot significant value in some races games in 1 day? You are spreading yourself very thin and can not win the way you are going. It is simply impossible.
I cannot wish you best of luck as the way you are betting no amount of luck can help you. You need to step back and look at why you need to have so much "action" in day. The answer is very simple. You have a gambling problem.
Long term winning punters seek out situations where the odds are in their favour through deep analysis - you cannot physically put more than a cursory look given the number of bets you do - that is just a fact.

RG ......YES....VALUE bets are always there, but your energy levels have to be well up to cope with MANUAL inputting of all races rated, as well placing bets. I have failed SO FAR on the placing of bets.
I put this "failure" down to :-
1. Energy being burned up on inputting data manually for each race rated.
2. My energy levels are low as underwent a major operation in 2012, and still some side effects from it...though got the "all clear" last August, but still being monitored.
3. I have not been LAYING any horses using RATINGS yet, as bank size for "test" too small IMO, but I trust you will see that it is relatively "easy" to spot VALUE on LAYS using RANK POSITION and the SP ODDS .......I've market ones that if SP ODDS are 9-1 or less and they are below the line, then they are lays in WIN MARKET....IN BOLD.

1 HIT on a LAY out of quite a few obvious LAYS in WIN market.
I trust you recognise this is VALUE.
It is far harder to get BACKING correct, but the "system" has been up to above average standard re WINNERS above the line, though yesterday I got KEMPTON "wrong" on RATINGS too often.........putting this down to my MOOD on the day.
So YES VALUE is there on every race.....and the races selected are the types of races where the "system" operates well on indicating VALUE. It is just me that is the "failure" so far ......IMO for reasons posted above.
Better go check how races are being run today ...as taking a day off RATING.

Couple errors on marking lays ( knackered as disturbed from sleep at 2.00 am , 3.00 am and 6.00 am and 7.30 am today roughly.....
MARCIANO would be a lay at 5-1 SP....and BRUSILINI at 150-1 was NOT a lay
