I work for most of the year in France. The PMU have a monopoly, so Betfair is blocked. I have been told a proxy server would get around this. Is that true? Has anybody used one, and which would you recommend? I am not really a computer buff, in other words, it needs to be simple to use. Thanks for any help.

France used to be fine on betfair until about 2-3 years ago when it all changed, and liquidity in French football markets dropped like a stone :( |

As you will no doubt be aware already we have launched a trial to see if by removing Premium Charge from all Primera Division and Rugby Union markets would we see an increase in activity. This is on a trial basis and should it prove successful we will look to extend it and potentially open it up to other sports.
The trial runs until 1st February 2014 for Primera Division and 1st June 2014 for Rugby Union. Winnings, losses, commission paid and generated will be removed entirely from your Premium Charge calculation and never appear on your Premium Charge statement. If you wish to opt out of this trial please contact your Account Manager. |

Just an update. I am using a VPN with no problems. I went for one called HideMyAss.
