the scheme, is indeed, after picking the brains of all the top tradesmen on the horse racing forum, now making a fortune in the west end of Glasgow doing homers {cash in hand} now he has became a master builder?

Are the rumours also true, that he has decided not to buy his better half a hod for Christmas, and instead is keeping his Latvian hod carrier Victor after realising he would have to pay his better half the minimum wage instead of the £2.50p per hour Victor receives?

Can anyone enlighten me please??

Hello stewarty. Long time no hear. I know we fell out over independence but ye'r not a bad lad. Not far off the mark with the master builder remark either. As slow moving as a betfair early horse market right enough.

That slow remark was regarding my tradesman skills, not aimed at you.

No probs Feck. Just a bit of tongue in cheeck by myself. As for the long time no hear, I've been busy building myself a boat.

If betfair ran a sailing club stewarty, everyone would have to build their own boat.

Feckfair's been going for years, but nobody knows about it because it doesn't show any prices or bets  ... it's all done by osmosis.

I wasn't stewarty.

Now, now gus. You're permeating vive's lie that no prices are shown.

I had a cracking July/August Feck, but sadly due to my mother's health going downhill I ended up taking my eye off the ball and ended up getting a hammering. My own fault really, as given the circumstances I should have taken a break. Perhaps greed got the better of me.

With it being a good summer I just couldn't stand the thought of spending 5 months of 12 hours a day study especially as I was under threat of the pc.

Interesting entry in the Financial Times lexicon  about Feck-type trading in Financial markets (so far as i understand it ) ... Dark Pools:

(probably full of pond-life imo).

Pond life is guaranteed in the financial sector but I don't know why anyone (apart from the undesirables themselves) would consider it desirable to have "undesired market participants (such as high frequency trading firms)" skimming millions a day out of the market because they've got a 0.02 second advantage over others. I don't know if these "dark pools" (vomit) are the same as feckfair as it doesn't say if all participants are matched at the same price (provided their limits are met).

Sports betting is different in any case as the "shares" are either worthless or worth a lot more once the outcome is decided. In markets where there was a lot of insider activity (such as horse racing) feckfair would curb insider influence as it wouldn't allow insiders to monopolise one side of a back/lay by undercutting everyone else. e.g. if 10,000 wanted to back A at 2.0 for a hundred. 9,999 wanted to lay A at 2.0 for a hundred and 1 insider wanted to lay A at 2.0 for a million then everyone would be matched for a tenner at 2.0. Betfair on the other hand would fill the insider at the cost of disappointing 9,999 layers. Feckfair would also display guide prices.

Thanks for posting that gus. If nothing else it will give the "ridiculous auction idea" whingers something to think about.

Your admiration for such nomarks shines through brendan. You must orgasm at the range of tariffs that energy companies come up with or the banks 0.75% bonus for one year "innovations".

"Just the mention of your name sends shivers down the spines of the traders."

Is it because of my name, does it sound dark and menacing? I'm afraid there's too much aggression there for my liking. I prefer something a bit more friendly like the circus.

Only joking i shouldn't get you going on that trader/clown link should I.

The only link between traders and clowns I'm aware of is the former use an exchange run by the latter (imo).

I'm now on IE back to the old forum. Is it a case of once you go to the classic, you can't get back?

Strangely enough, even the sharpest minds in Betfair can't help me out. Perhaps it's this new laptop I have which has  Windows 8 installed.CryCry. They are going to get back to me ifthey can solve the problem.
