Suspect you put great weight on the fact it was DRAWN 1........

However, as it is a 2 yo, and stats available on a well known DRAW site indicate a HIGH DRAW is an advantage at the distance....BUT FOR 3 YODS UPWARDS........

The horse you layed won last time out ...was lightly raced......and had a very good trainer.....plus had a rail to assist it ( young horses can benefit from rail etc )....

5-1 SP was far too high odds for such a horse IMO.......

Challenge Update:
All I can say is .... I can take some positives from todays betting but naturally it is not how I wished it to be. Pity I went in way too heavy on a particular horse race

DFC - certainly lots of money come for it late .... should have pulled out then but too late. Ashame I decided to go in a lot lot more than I should have ... because as it turned out I was only able to get back on-track by betting extra heavy on my last greyhound bot lay and another goal in some inplay footy game ..... yes I know a wobble too many will bust the challenge again .... on to tomorrow

If only your discipline was on a par with your ego or your compulsion to chase, lost count as I'm sure you have, of the number of these challenges you have set out on, and, learn't absolutely nothing from your previous failures, gl but think we can forecast the end result without too much need for thought.

A couple of bits of advice that may help, that have helped me recently

More discipline
You are having far too many bets and long term you will lose. Sorry

Your Bank
Do not take money out of youir bank as this will affect the way you think about your bets. Treat the thousand as your investment and pick a longer term before taking money out ie 6 months and review your strategy. Possibly if and when you make 1k yopu could withdraw it then, but by withdrawing on a daily basis you will feel like chasing if you go 3 days without withdrawing, also what happens when you have your losing run.

Why are you placing these bets?
You should be able to give an answer to this or why are you risking any of your money.

What is your angle/system?

You are making between 50-100 bets everyday. That's crazy and compulsive. If you waited and chose just 3 good lays everyday you would make plenty.

Everybody keeps telling you , but you never listen. How long more can it last?

Challenge Update:
Not a bad day although a bit up and down - did one ill thought out bet on the England footy. Hopefully I won't do anything silly over the weekend. Not around too much during the days. Also I have change the withdrawal amount to a straight £100 per day win lose or draw .... nice number where the longer I last the more will be withdrawn while one (well I) hope the bank will keep increasing ....

Nope there won't be Cork Langer ... this is the final chapter. Will update in the morning .... very very poor day on Sunday (one big mistake thinking I could get a nice trade but didn't happen) ... while today has been a partial recovery. Got some paperwork to complete and other things taking up time ... so update will need to wait till tomorrow morning .....

One thing though ... tiredness was leading factor of some of yesterday's bets ... pity but hey still the Last Chapter is not completely finished

Racing is funny sometimes .... Aussie 9.50 Red race .... fav is 1.08 (nearly layed it but ddn't bother) .... only for it to gallop and basically out of the race ..... decided to then back it at 10's as it was out the back and hope it would get on to the back with a circuit to go ..... it comes storming through to grab second spot. I lost (£50) but I feel sorry for the 1.08 backers ....

First bet of day re UK races..............such a loss could well have led to you chasing and getting into the position you find yourself in arvo..............

As you are tackling so many different types of markets, you are bound to hit another BLACK SWAN day.....

Getting more aware of your edge/s is important, as currently you are just ad-libbing on days bets ( that is what it appears like) ...................and as CL has stated more than once ...only one ending likely....without you taking steps to change your habits , and conducting necessary "WORK" to establish whether or not you do have an edge( which I believe you do). Due to number of bets placed in your challenges......will take you about 2 years to carry out analysis work in depth.....

Can't see you doing well until you change.....

Certainly been having some good days on the Aussie markets ... like yesterday it has been going well today although have been doing mainly greyhounds this morning unlike the horse racing yesterday .... seem to be better mkt volumes today in the greyhound mkts than yesterday.

Challenge Update:
Like the day before had a good morning on the Aussie markets but relatively poor during the UK markets .... out last night and only back to watch the last bit of the Carter snooker match. Before I went to bed threw some money on a lay of England (seriously I did

) in the 1st test and woke pleasantly surprised by the over-night play - thought I'd might get a trade eventually to make £25 to £50 but seems better than that.

Some days (and times during the day) I can play more than other days .... played a little bit on a couple of races this morning and greened up on my cricket bet (profit around £235)

Challenge Update:
The pain continued ..... especially when I lost heavily on a big bet in the early mornings Aussie mkt .... which basically meant the challenge bank hit around £500 (again). Thought that was the end but then the recovery started to end with some profits for the day .... although had to go in harder than what I would have liked. Certainly an interesting day.

Great results. But do you not think there's something wrong with your staking/strategy/both when you posted a +50% and +100% balances in consecutive days?

Apart from a couple of bets I normally have a max bet around 10% of the balance (say around £250 when the bank was over the £2K mark) .... need to remember some of the wins are on ip trades at low odds. Sometimes I like to win simply a couple of pounds while on the whole I seem to have a fascination with winning £12.50, £25 and £50 amounts (less commission of course) .... with some of the markets outside greyhounds/horse racing I tend to bet around the £200 to £250 (on the whole) ... for example with Jenson Button in the points yesterday. Yesterday some of the greyhound bot lays were simply a fixed amount outlay of £100 to £150 ....

TBH I tend to have guiding principles and certain triggers to my betting and rough outline of staking/max liabilties when it comes to my betting rather than a "strict" setup.

Somedays I can tell when things are going well .... the betting seems to be so effortless while I simply need to adjust what I do when I can sense I am perhaps too tired, have other things on my mind or simply getting too far ahead of myself.

Also what looks like a loss .... could have easily been very profitable which would have led me on a different path over the last couple of days.

undern - you see to be believing you are in "control" of your staking ....most days.......but as you should know form previous losses, the BLACK SWAN days do come and you cannot be serious that you are CONTROLLING STAKING.

You start day badly on UK RACING..... 2 HITS in a row.....Initially you don't react to chase on next 2 bets ( looks like that ).....then a 3rd HIT comes.....then you CHASE.......A 4th HIT comes amounting to £ 330.92 . What level was your bank at on that lay? Unlikely to be at 10 % level......

A 5th HIT comes ( 2 again in a row) losing £295.01..... you appear to be risking more than 10 %.

You then win £145.95 ......indicating you upped your target of up to £50 profit to £ 145.95...You get away with a profit instead of whopping loss.....

You then seem to settle down a bit a lower level of profit.....but near end of UK racing ....in you go again losing £ 448.94 at WOLVERHAMPTON..... What % of bank was risked there???

It just appears you are ad-libbing with staking ....with no definite line you will not cross when it comes to lays. CHASING still creeps in..............or so it looks...

OK .......you have got bank up again.......but as above poster suggested....your STAKING is still out of CONTROL, and until you operate without this ad-libbing on stakes.....another BLACK SWAN day is very very likely to occur again.....

Major change re habits and way you operate are needed.....hope you make them in new year. GL with changing.

DFC - I do fully appreciate what you are saying however bear in mind some bets are done with targets of £12.50 .... £50 etc (and it does vary depending on my thoughts while watching the race or considering some factors before the race) ... while other bets are done based on a set liability (up to around 10%) ... which can be done at low odds.

I did say "I normally have a max bet around 10% ...." ... the last couple of days were a touch extreme in terms of digging myself out of a hole.

You are certainly correct ... on Friday I did do some stupid chasing ... with the trigger being a loss in an Aussie race then a loss on the first greyhound UK bet ... with me pressing the wrong amount to bet which I think didn't help .... then led on to poor start in the UK racing .... a rolling effect.

I assure you during a "normal" period of betting my staking is reasonably controlled - dealing with some poor run of results is what I am falling down on. One thing I have changed is I am not betting on every race .....

Just had a quick look - some of the losing bets were as follows ... one thing I do notice is that when I do hit some losing bets early I like to take on too many favourites .... saying that I had a very nice result earlier today

Challenge Update:
Well it was a profitable day but I just knew as soon as I posted up my current p&l for the day things would go backwards .... it did with an immediate loss on a horse race and perhaps should have turned greyhound bot off during the evening as it took some hits which effectively wiped out the days profits. Seem to get hit with evening greyhound races much more than I like .... perhaps it is time to stop all greyhound bot betting once I hit a certain daily profit ....

On a side note - had fun (well not quite) this morning losing losing and then winning more on some Aussie bets ... bit stupid but got out of it okay.

Biggest loss £600 equates to about a sixth of your bank yet you have a max bet of 10%. I still think 10% is typically too high a liability. Can't you see why all your challenges end in quick tears?

Here are the aussie bets I did .... I hold my hand up it was a loss on a horse bet then a loss on a greyhound bet ... which triggered me thinking all that good work from yesterday wasted so went in too deep .... and played with fire until I got ahead .... FYI - current greyhound bot bets have liability set at £125 total liability

No I haven't.

Been another good day (so far ...) and played with reasonable control

. Slightly concerned that I do like to take on some favs in the Aussie mkts ... but trying to focus hard on which ones to lay etc ... although to be fair I got caught backing a fav to place this morning only for it to go tits up.

I also like my ir trades on the horse racing and have hit some nice wins today .... just trying not to get too carried away and remembering that a £5 win is just as good as a £100 win.

Here are the aussie bets I did .... I hold my hand up it was a loss on a horse bet then a loss on a greyhound bet ... which triggered me thinking all that good work from yesterday wasted so went in too deep .... and played with fire until I got ahead .... FYI - current greyhound bot bets have liability set at £125 total liability
