Irish_Celtic ... I will probably post up a p&l of the last two days... but I assure you it wasn't pleasant. Still a bit stunned by how quickly it all crumbled after starting the challenge quite nicely .... oh well may be this one will be different

You should print it off, enlarge it and refer to it every time your mind goes into Chase mode, no advice given freely previously by many posters has been taken on board though, so probably wasting time even typing this out.

Im sure it wasn't pleasant Undern , just intresting to see where it went so wrong. Cant believe you layed 6 mutts in a row, that's as f*cked up as it gets. Like Langer said you need to study it. I see you started well again as you always do, if you focused on making a couple of hundred a day you would soon build up a huge bank.

not hard to lay six winners in a row when you are just betting on random events that you have no edge on.

Challenge Summary:

Up too early as couldn't sleep. Nice profitable day ... only went in very heavy on Fed (green ir though) in the tennis. Got a bit worried with my Bryan Brothers tennis bet with it being so close in the 3rd set tie break ended up scratching trading it. Otherwise day was okay. Still pissed off about wrecking the last challenge but got to move on from it ....

*** Just tried to do a report on Aussie Wallet P&L but doesn't allow me to do it - anyone else got the same problem. Will need to run it in the morning. Meanwhile I will post up the UK P&L   ***

Have a bit of a story to tell about today .... with friends so may not be able to do it tonight. Simply I was down to my last 1K with the rest either lost on bets or on bets (namely Fed in the tennis) .... some what fortunate to get out of it.

Nice bet that came in was just then - anyone else see it the 9.24pm Greyhound hurdle race ... layed the (extra heavy) fav at amazing odds of 1.26 to pick up a nice £250 win ... should of layed it for more.

Aussie market and reporting problem is still not resolved ...

Challenge Summary:

A somewhat "loose" day where I had most of the bank tied up in bets and could have ended up heading down to the £1K mark .... lost big time on a horse race when I took on the fav. But all turned out well and now bank in a nice position. Still issues with Aussie Markets and what is more concerning is that BF have now told me all is resolved but no it is not.

As a side note - looking at the bets from today didn't realise I actually took on another low odds fav in one of the IT greyhound races .... won big time on that one as well

Still the Aussie Markets won't load .... BF says it is either my computer or ISP ... I think it is the ISP (Virgin Media) .... anyone else on VM having the same problem ....

Busy this arvo so won't be around for Fed vs Nadal ..... and I know I got "lucky" on the tennis yesterday so might put a smaller bet on. Simply can't have days like yesterday no matter how it turns out .... as one wrong move and I am done in on yet another challenge.

Aussie Markets Issue:

After testing different devices ... it seems as if it is Virgin Media (my ISP) blocking a couple of the Aussie betting websites. For eg - I can't access betfair.com.au (where the Aussie mkts are apparently held) and other sites like tabcorp.com.au

Appreciate it if anyone else on VM can do a check on these sites to see if they too don't have access.

Then again it might be helping my challenge by not being able to bet on the Aussie mkts

Mmmm come back ... and see a big loss in the Tottenham game, a big loss in the Nadal tennis match (layed Nadal 2-0) and loss on the Greyhounds .... looks like a losing day.

Mmmm nothing like betting too big on another goal in the Arsenal game only for it to end 1-0 .... back to square one with the challenge

Recovered some of challenge profits which is good but the great news is by some "miracle" the Aussie mkts are available. Yippeee !!!! .... Would love to know what was wrong as I certainly do any changes on my computer.

Challenge Summary:

Again I place some bets come back later to see they lost and then decide to recover in a quick and somewhat hit and miss way ..... in the Juventus game last night I was so close to green up with a £1.5K profit (over 1.5 goals) but the second goal came around 5mins too early. At least I haven't completely wiped the challenge bank out .... and a £1K profit in 5 days is not too bad. As I mentioned the Aussie Mkts have "by a miracle" come back to life so been doing some betting this morning on the Aussie greyhounds ... which will report in todays P&L report later tonight or tomorrow morning. Also been (over the last few days) try different lay and backing systems on greyhounds.

A long while back I used to do a lot more trading (mainly pre-race horse mkts) using some very nice software ... perhaps I need to go back to that .... but I can't deal with making £0.63 and £1.23 profits based on a slight movement in odds .....

FFS I have just busted this challenge bank as well ..... no more I give up ..... I will quietly do my own betting in perfect harmony .... all the best.

Saying that I am down a lot on this and had to throw more money into the "challenge" bank to keep it going .... if I by a miracle recover well then I will continue and update etc but don't hold your breathe

Very disappointing undern, you blew it earlier than I expected to be honest, you must be getting more of a chaser with each failure.

You really should take time out, find something else that interests you and direct your energy and money in that direction, surely now even someone as egotistical as you can see these challenges are pointless without the right strategy and discipline, which unfortunately given your financial position you are never likely to attain or possess.

Strange world .This guy gives the impression he is a multi millonaire with a hugely successful business yet he cant hold a bank of 5k for 5 minutes. Gambles from 7am until 3am  and expects things to change each time he starts a new challenge.

Cardboard city awaits Undern ,when you plough through the inheritance or the claim you got ,or wherever the hell you got your money from.

Like I have said time and time again Irish_Celtic .... I have a very nice business which principally runs itself .... I company pays me very well (well okay as dividends mainly) and I have lots of time to come and play on BF ... only problem is I play too much and these challenges are a challenge for me to see if I can take it sensibly but haven't quite manage to do this .... then again you are welcome to think what you like about me

Complete failure with this challenge .... .... will give it one final attempt. Watch out for new thread ....

FFS.....take time out....and be a bit more business like re your approach to betting.

Analyse,IN GREAT DETAIL, all the bets you have done....separate the wheat from chaff.....and then analyse how you can improve your HABITS....devise a plan etc etc etc

You have to be careful .....you say you have a very "nice" business ....which "runs itself"......I've seen so many successful business people get involved in some other "challenge".....and in due course their "successful" business suffers from their non-involvement and they fail with their new "challenge".

If you don't change your whole approach to betting, then your losses will mount up......which in turn could impact on your business.

This is the time of year when taking stalk of your position would be sensible after the losses.....I hope you do.

Yep you are dead right - I have finally conceded that I can't simply have some "systems" in place but also play outside of those in order to keep me entertained .... at least my business is still going strong

undern, looking at the time you posted for the bank being busted, was it the dogs that did it?

Someone pointed this out early on. 

Avoid them.  They are the same as FOBT's when it comes to trading, etc.

Take that time and research some decent plays.  Balance of time.
