Guys and gals ... please use this thread to share the knowledge regarding bookie promotions.  They're a bit tight these days, so let's help each other out.  To set the ball rolling, I've come across a new bookie called winner.com.  Hadn't seen them before.

Need minimum odds of 1.50 for the qualifying bet and again at least 1.50 for the free bet.  Stake not returned with the free bet (as usual).  Laying your stakes on here at similar odds should return about £15 risk free.

The terms aren't great but, as some supermarket keeps telling us, every little helps.  Hmm ... maybe.

Let's hear about other offers and how well you've managed to make them work.

Be lucky my friends.

Just to continue, I've just placed a QB on Sporting Cristal for £25 at even money and laid them at 2.02 for the same amount.  Loss of 50p in the worst case scenario, otherwise a break-even outcome.  Either way, that should get me through the qualifying round!

What are you going to do with the free bet?

As with all new sportsbooks you should proceed with caution. Especially if as in the case of winner.com they are registered in Antigua and Barbuda. A quick google shows they have already been subject to a complaint:

Personally I would only contemplate opening an account with an SBR rating of B- or better. Winner.com have just recently been added to SBR as a C+ but the site advises caution as they are so new.

Thanks Kelly, that is good to know.  I'd not heard of the SBR rating system, but will do some homework on that.

Just to explain, I did am just looking to take up free bet opportunities (with opposing bets on Betfair to minimise risk).  Don't intend having an ongoing relationship with bookmakers, just being cheeky and hoping to use their free offers to my advantage.  Small though it may be!

Harry ... I made a few pennies on the qualifying bet.  I won on the WINNER site, lost on here.  Didn't matter which way around, I knew there would be a win/loss outcome with roughly a break-even position overall.

Then with the free bet, I back Wigan on WINNER at 1.60 and laid them here at slightly higher odds, but with a reduced stake.

End result, a win of £11 overall, regardless of outcome.

Nothing spectacular, but they all help ... hundreds of bookies out there, willing to offer one-night-stands!

When I first opened accounts I put the lot on the superbowl many years ago so never really looked at stealing a few quid but the bet(price) you placed was the worst possible way to do it.

As Harry points out you'd be better off backing a bigger (similar on here) price as your lay bank allows eg

Back 25 @ 10/1 with winner.com

Lay for backers stake of 22 @ 10/1 = liab of 220

So you win 21 or 30 (after comm) depending on the outcome. The bigger the price the greater % of the free bet you can reclaim.

Word of advice, when you are playing through your free bet, look for bigger priced ones rather than the short ones.

For Example,

Betting a horse at 12/1 and laying it at 15.5 makes you mote than 50% more than betting football at evens and laying at 1.95
