I tried them a few months back after liking the idea but most of the prices offered were better on Oddschecker which defeats the purpose in my opinion.
Paying commission on bets in exchange for being able to get the best odds all from one account is ok but only if you are actually getting the best odds most or all of the time, which doesn't seem to be the case. I just checked one of the wkends prem matches and Man City are available at 1.53 via the Butler but Bet Victor are offering 1.55 so this doesn't look to have changed. Here is a review I did of them: http://www.bettingtools.co.uk/blog/bet-butler-review/ |

well right now i m getting 5.0 for astonishing at newmarket 3.10 when 4.3 bf.. hmmm.
By:
ok so i agree that not every price is the best available but sometimes they can through up the odd price that stands out if you are prepared to spend some time looking for them..
By:
The next race has a better price on the fav too but rest of the runners are the same. They don't do best odds guaranteed either though and you pay commission on that price but you do here too.
In terms of backing horses and comparing solely with betfair it could be favourable. |

Yes exactly but the idea is supposed to be the Butler serving you the best odds every time so you can do all your betting through one account. Not sure why they're unable to achieve this tbh. |

I have a VIP account with them and frankly use it very rarely. Now the key problems are:
1 - Very little is available at the best odds so the average is not all that great. So when you factor in the commission what's the point. 2 - No horse prices pre 10am. 3 - Availability to get on at good prices seems VERY dependant who you speak to on the VIP line. I know if I speak to X i will get 200 @ 14's whereas if I speak to Y i'll get 50 @ 14's and rest at 12's. 4 - No best odds guarantee passed on even if they are betting it with a firm that gives that. 5 - If you use your debit card they require your bank account and sort code to withdraw - very odd to me! 6 - Only e-wallet they have is moneybookers and they are way slow in processing withdrawls by moneybookers. 7 - Maybe most importantly how safe are they? I know the sponsor etc so must have some money but they are an agent ultimately. |

racingguru, what's the commission?
By:
All the premership games I checked were close to 105%.
105% and commission!!! |
By:
Over 2.5 goals 4/5 and Evens.
I think they stand these bets themselves. |
By:
commission is 3% on profit of winning bets
By:
wow!! that's insanely big! I thought being a VIP meant getting a better deal, a bit like the 2-5% sliding scale on Betfair.
2% on Betfair isn't really 2% as you can bring that down to less than 0.1% on turnover by trading. |
By:
Apparently it can down to 2% for VIP's on other sports - footie etc but horses is 3%.
By:
Betbr0kers had all the same issues and you know what happened to them.
By:
I think they are better backed than Betbr0kers but nonetheless I would have thought they are higher risk material than most of the oddschecker lot.
By:
Is it not the same people? Asking for trouble imo.

I found this - how true it is i don't know.
One such bet brokerage company was ‘Bet Brokers’ Bet Butler say: “I would also like to address the association with Bet Brokers, no one within our company is part of the old Bet Brokers. We did however purchase this company out of administration, hence there being a link. We saw the opportunity to obtain some of the software that they were previously using and a business model that could be improved on. They used a fairly manually process internally, since this purchase our own IT team have developed the software to allow for scanning the market automatically and the autobet technology allowing us to work in a far more efficient way.” |

By:
how does this work? ive had my accounts closed or limited to buttons with every internet bookie ive ever used. so how the hell do these guys get the bets on?????????
By:
im pretty sure in tehe terms and conditions with most, if not all, bookies it states that you must be placing bets for yourself and not for a 3rd party. or all bets will be voided and funds can be confiscated.

I have a suspicion this is a mickey mouse operation.
I sent them a message online and didn't even hear back. |
By:
they are advertising on talksport.
By:
so is the "ladies at your fingertips" sex texts line.
it's not exactly ftse 500 stuff on there. |
By:
They'll have the same issues getting on as punters.
Business model relies on people assuming they are getting the best price but not checking. Good luck to them, but because of they of the joke firms they have to deal with the whole idea is flawed. |
By:
I think that is a little unfair. I think the model is based more on people who struggle to get on regardless of whether its best odds or not and maybe don't have time to do the shops.
I could really see the attraction of it IF I wasn't set up well with other accounts as getting 12's on a best priced 14/1 shot for decent sums is better than a lot of people can manage. Whether they have enough of these customers to make it pay is another question but assuming they are honest I think there is a place for such a service. |
By:
the fact you wont get restricted must be a big plus.
By:
ok so 15:40 ascot today website showing 4.00 for dabadiyan. enter £25 and check live prices ..do you want to accept 3.75??? wtf! refresh webpage still showing 4.00. change stake to £10. do you want to accept 3.75...

Their withdrawal procedure is horrible for debit cards and is very slow for e-wallets. The zero commission offer etc strikes me as desperation. I'd be very wary of carrying a balance there.
By:
As said earlier, flawed business model.
BetBrokers 2? |
By:
Tried them out, more out of curiosity than anything else.
Had a couple of bets and account was limited to zero, so if getting on is seen as a benefit here, think again. Waiting on withdrawal now, will report back in about a fortnight. |
By:
Steer well clear, absolutely not worth the hassle having anything to do with this mob.
They should not be allowed to have a licence |
By:
ha ha ha ha ha ha Butler are you serious I would rather ################# fill in
By:
thinking about your question ? Anyone use Butler ###
either you're incapable of performing your own research via internet and concluding that they are the biggest pile of shitte online, or you are making conversation to find friends ? Saying does anyone use them is like asking would anyone fancy having a drink with Jimmy Saville #spell# Of course few wrong-uns would as a few dicks would use Butler hope this helps Bye |

By:
Finally got paid. That's about the only positive that I can give. Absolutely rancid outfit.
By:
They have recently changed their t and c's so customer funds on deposit with them are no longer protected.....
Update to Deposits and Wagers Terms, removing clause 1.3 governing insolvency protection 1.3 Any monies deposited with us are protected in the event of our insolvency by virtue of such monies being held by our bank in designated client accounts separately from our own accounts. Any monies deposited with us in your account shall not bear any interest. |
By:
There's reports online of them slow paying on larger withdrawals and zipping through the smaller ones to give the impression that there's nothing untoward going on. Not exactly encouraging signs that all is well. As stated earlier in the thread, be very careful if keeping a balance here.

By:
Not involved in any way, shape or form, but heard they had an EGM scheduled yesterday. No idea on the outcome...
By:
Apparently no longer answering the phone and fobbing off people with emails assuring payment is forthcoming. Long odds on that this place is busto.
