There should be a splash screen with options for new customers "Do you want the best odds, or worse odds and be banned from betting if you win." Then buttons "Exchange / Sportsbook."

"Exhange back on front page" I got a copy of the sun and couldn't believe it, the guy behind the new Exchange website and the guy behind the new sportsbook domination strategy were on Page 3! Then I did a double take and realised it was just another pair of

I deleted all Chrome history a while ago, now every day I get taken straight to the exchange and even better the old version. No more sportsbook, no more "new site", it's wonderful!
This is great for me because I was always taken to the sportsbook before, then the new site, which pissed me off every day for months on end.

Um, this doesn't happen to me. If you delete cookies on IE then you go to the sportsbook with the exchange link in the top corner.
I don't think you chaps are seeing what a new customer is seeing.
Delete all cookies (not just history). Type in www.betfair.com and you go to the sportsbook.

I can’t understand why betfair push the sports book so much? The only people that use it are the exchange members who can’t be bothered to go elsewhere or have no other accounts. betfairs sports book odds are that poor and are unlikely to attract any new customers.

Yep, kind of been my view for some time, but oddly them seemed intent on entering a market already flooded with competition, when they had a ready made (exchange) market all to themselves.

most people who use betfair probably use betfair cos theyre fed up with bookies voiding bets, limiting your bets to 50p or closing your account. betfair then turning round and becoming a bookie themselves is a bit like linda mccartney bringing out a range of real meat pies. ie utterly bonkers.

"I can’t understand why betfair push the sports book so much?" Nobody can. Its like Caterpillar or JCB who are making a tidy profit in their niche market deciding one day they want to compete with Honda Ford Renault Nissan Peugot Fiat etc in the already very crowded small family car markets, and throwing their main business down the toilet.
Nuts.

one straw in the wind - BF's bloke on Talksport used to bend over backwards not to mention the exchange. today he's mentioned it twice, including pointing out the 3 figure price villa touched on the exchange in play.
