Opened an online account over ten years ago.

Barely used it. Got a reminder there was money in the account and invited me to bet .

Placed 2 racing bets. Both won. Odds under 5/1.

No longer allowed to place racing bets at fixed prices at all. After 2 bets!

I then placed two football bets. Both at odds on. Both won.

Stakes limited to £1.30 on next football bet.

What is wrong with these companies? They pay hundreds of millions to advertise yet effectively shut you down after 4 bets. They all won but no body wins every bet.

The lowest thing that happened to me is an Irish firm refusing to take a bet and then shortening the price without taking the bet.

for information purposes it wasn't an arb or a palp.  Prolly not company policy just a lazy or poor compiler trying to cover up his own incompetence.

Wasn't even one selection.  It was either 2 or 3 selections and they shortened the lot.

Same with me. All prices were same or bigger on the exchange at the time.

Same firm went to one of their shops..asked for 200 @ 5/2 or 2/1 and 100 @ 10/1 on 2 different selections in 2 different events.  No one else was betting on them.  If I'd asked for 50 @ 10/1 I'd have got both bets on but because one bet was over the limit they rang up and offered me 50 @ 5/2 or 2/1 and 30 @ 10/1.  Got home and found out the 5/2 shot had withdrawnLaugh and they'd slashed the 10/1 shot to 6/1.

Both events were at a similar time.  Same low life compiler imo

That sounds specialist. Mine were confederation cup matches betting on odds shots. Surely these bets are ok to take?

I don't get it! If the bookies balanced their books correctly, I wouldn't have thought it mattered what bets are taken?

With the use of the exchanges I would've thought this would always be achievable?

Maybe the bookies need to employ better odds compilers!

hills took 200k on no for scottish referendum vote, in cash in the shop and only cut price from 1/5 to 1/6
taking 100k of the 200k at latter price despite it being the worst price !

you can just imagine tam trying to plaice his 20p rev fcast on millersfield dogs whilst the cashier was counting the 100k

hills wont let me have more than £20 on anything. id love to know how you get 200k on.

bookmakers dont take bets anymore, theyre a joke.

i had an impossible to bet with baldfred account, maximum bet about £2. had a toootspoooort account where i was quite a big loser so could get decent bets on. when the first bought the 2nd ie in a takeover they didnt restrict my toooot account. but then when i placed a bet on my old fred account, magically within 30 seconds my tooot account was limited to buttons too.

they obviously dont manage accounts personally and have a computer system that does it all. really wish id never placed that £2 bet on fred now.

this is exactly the kind of stuff that should be front and centre of BF's advertising. Except of course it can't be, can it, because...

Many of these so called Bookies arn't run by Bookies at all they are run by Accountants who go into mild seizure every time they see a minus sign !!  Kenilworth has the right idea ... if you want to get on with a proper Bookmaker.
