I don't know whether anybody does this, but I do it all the time. Many times a day in fact!

OK here's another post about value...!

I always think that if something is much bigger on BF than the bookies, I'm getting good value?

Is there any sense in thinking this way, or is BF right and the bookies wrong?

Sometimes the difference in odds are beyond belief! It kinda hypnotizes me into backing it!

Problem is you end up backing all the horses that some people know won't be winning today.

Haha isn't that SO right! It's like the people on Betfair are total experts knowing that there's no way the horse will win so they'll put their house on it!!!

When I first came on Betfair I undertook  this idea with greyhounds some of the price differences seemed amazing, 9/4 shots with the bookies going off at 5/1 on here. I didn't keep it up though so you can bet your bottom dollar it wasn't profitable in my experience.

What about the other way sheppy what if the prices are only equal or less on here than the bookmakers would they be a good lay?
Report gnashersblackpool June 23, 2013 1:31 AM BST
if a greyhound is shorter on here in a liquid mrket tha the bookies, get on at bookies price and dont lay off.

Great responses!

gnashersblackpool - WOW you've freaked me out here! I like it!

Can you explain the logic behind it?
Report kenilworth June 24, 2013 8:23 PM BST
gnasher, in theory yes, but you
will have to be quick as it won't
last long. Invariably the books bet
to about 35% margin on dogs so you
won't find them making mistakes
with that margin. GL though.

theres a few lads who can price the dogs, as ken says the books prices dont last when their errors are spotted.
