Basically just need to know if adding the verification code at the end of the password works fine for all the API apps, don't wanna set it up then find it only works with the website :)

Obviously I haven't tried it yet, but watching the tutorial gives me no reason to think that there might be any app for which adding the code at the end of the password doesn't work.

Don't think any of the smartphones are smart enough to last much more than a day :)
They'll all be pretty similar so you'd need to be looking at the battery capacity as the defaults are usually around 1500 mAh but you can get a lot better 3000+ . I suppose alot depends on what you want to do with it, I've been looking at the nexus 4 ones mainly cos they're subsidised by google and seem high spec'd but also cos you can just charge them by putting it on a wireless induction pad.

Get an android of some type. Most seem to charge on USB now so you can stick a little USB battery/charger in yourpocket for emergencies if you know you'll be out for a bit.
