Betfair was supposed to be about making betting fair, moving away from the **** fixed odds bookies.

Now they are hiding their exchange. A new user wouldn't have a hope of finding it from the front page.

So they are creaming off the easy money and leaving us with less and less liquidity. Disapointing!

Particularly when you can't bet on the fixed odds "offering" due to being limited to £0

Are Betfair even advertising the exchange on the TV any more? I've only noticed the Casino ads - none of those "Our odds are better than Ladbrokes/Hills/VC/etc" ads.

------------

yes, they've been running those "is your bookie giving let's have a look shall we" ads recently.

the irony is, that was their best campaign for ages, and they've turned it into an ASA nightmare waiting to happen.

from a new user's perspective, you're being quoted better exchange prices, then taken by default to the sportsbook without the difference being explained.

Smart brains saying that exchange causing to many problems to the owners-regulations. Owners probably have figures whom says that sportsbook is a profitable business as well so the owners are taking whats best for them in front.

Its like going to the shop and and what needs to be sold is on your head level and in front of you. What doesnt is hided. Dont know why its so hard to understand. We may not like it(I dont), but we need to accept it.

i had my doubts about the long term future of the exchange when Beardy decided not to take an interest .

He normally has his snout into anything with a thread of viability

was wondering that myself doridoru - they still seem to be splashing around the idea that they're an exchange on TV.

Must be pretty confusing for new customers logging on to find a bookies...Crazy

And yet, if they removed the exchange, they would instantly lose at least 95% of the customers/profit
